The needles are all dull. Are they supposed to be that way? Also the little scissors that came with them are very rough. Other than that it's a nice little set. And it's nice to have them pre-wound with floss on them already. And when I run out of one color, I can easily replace it using the same paddle.

This is just what I needed to get me started and it also keeps my threads organized in its own cubby space, it cones with so many colors of embroidery thread and some starting tools. You can keep it safe in its own tackle box it comes in.

I needed some extra colors for a project I’m working on so I saw this set and a wide variety of colors.I was surprised how nice this set is!The threads/ floss come in a clear box, fit snuggly together so they won’t unravel, and have a nice great variety of colors. Each thread is grouped according to its color family. The floss is spun around a cardboard “spool” that can secure to a cut in the board once it’s opened. NOTE: there is only one cardboard spool per color so if you need a larger amount, you will probably have to buy it separately.This fitted my needs as I am working on smaller projects lately and sometimes I want to change a color.

These were worth the wait. Colors are vibrant and so lovely. I am new to embroidery and needed a kit to get started. I do not think I could have asked for better colors. I am super happy.

This kit is the perfect starter kit for someone getting into embroidery. The floss is of decent quality and has a great color selection. I've had this kit for several months now, getting more into embroidery over the last few weeks, and today I just noticed for the first time that each thread card has a number on it (except the two metallic threads). Those number correspond to the dmc (most popular brand of embroidery floss) color chart! My mind was blown when I realized. Now it will be much easier to replace colors as I run out or buy more of my favorite colors to have on hand! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cardboard thread cards are kind flimsy, the needle threaders broke on my quickly and the needles that come with this kit aren't the greatest, but that's easily fixed since needles and needle threaders are very inexpensive.

I bought this for a school project where I was sewing with felt, and I am impressed with the quality and quantity of colors available. I'm not a bonafide embroiderer by any means, but for someone who doesn't know how to sew very well and is getting into sewing, I think it's a really good deal, and this should be plenty of thread to keep you busy for a while.
