This emergency disconnect works great! We recently had an issue where our garage door would not open with the opener. The breaker to the garage was not popped and we couldn't figure out how to get the door open. The previous homeowner had sided over the service door and the window on the garage, so that prensented a huge challenge. I ended up having to pull the siding off the one side of the garage to get to the boarded up window opening. Once I removed the plywood and climbed through, I found that they GCFI had tripped for some reason. I reset the outlet and the door started working again.I grabbed this from Vine to ensure I don't have to remove siding and crawl through window openings again! Installation was very easy if you are mechanically inclined. Drill a couple of holes, connect the cable to the emergency release and you are done! If this happens again, I simply have to grab the key from inside the house and pull the emergency disconnect to open the door!I would definitely recommend this!
