I plan to take this when we dispersed camp out in the mountains. There’s no cell signal so having a way to be alerted of weather changes is vital. I’ll have to update how this does there as far as reception. Where I live is also in a mountainous area but in the foothills (also with no cell signal until I drive about 20 minutes either way down the road-yea, the struggle is real lol) however at home I can pick up between 7-9 stations on FM clearly enough and weather very clearly. The 2 lights on this (reading light by lifting the solar panel and side light with 3 light level modes) is ok enough to suffice in an emergency situation or to use in the tent as needed at night and/or to have along for overnight bathroom trips. This is a tad bulky to take along for that however where we camp tends to have black bears around and you betcha I’ll have this with the radio on to help alert any that might be around to hopefully detour them away haha. Noise is a good first defense and it’s helped me thus far so yep, this with the radio on and the side light will be my way to “go.” ☺️I wish the strap was longer and may add a longer one actually so this can be carried cross body style or on my shoulder when I want it easily accessible but be hands free.I do like that this has 3 ways to charge and that it also acts as a power bank if needed. It charges my iPhone, a small fan and also a headlamp I have just fine when I tested those out to see. It’s said to be waterproof however I wouldn’t trust this out in an any more than a light sprinkle honestly. The charging ports have an ok silicone cover but the rest I’m not sure how it would fair getting too wet.The SOS feature is ok I guess if you need help alerting someone somewhat near where you are or perhaps to help scare a curious animal such as a black bear away. Making crazy noise is my first line of defense as I said, and so far has worked with the two bears I’ve encountered.I like that this has a separate on/off button in back so the power button isn’t accidentally pushed in the front and powers this on when you don’t want. In saying that i do wish the sliding feature of the off/on button was a tad more rigid. It is appreciated however. All in all I like this and will absolutely take it out camping. It seems to have a fairly rugged body but would be too heavy to take out hiking on long distances. I’ll be curious to see how well the hand crank works as a last resort. I may update on that as well but I plan to have this fully charged before our next trip then will try to keep it in the sun once it gets half way drained and will update that feature as well.
a gift from my uncle and he loved it

We put one in our survival kit and have another one for as needed use. We took it on a beach vacation during a possible hurricane just in case and have used it when the power has gone out to check the weather conditions. Very important to have one of these in case of emergency.

I took this radio camping for three days and two nights. While it is a bit bulky and heavy, it had enough charging capacity to charge an iPhone 16 Pro to 100% both nights, with some battery still leftover on the radio. I didn’t even have to use my extra power bank I brought (I’d still bring it anyway though in the future, always good to have a backup) the flashlight was very, very, bright. It was actually a bit too bright for me so I pretty much stuck to my iPhone flashlight though. It has a nice feature (I think) where you can hold down on the button to seek stations and it appears to stop once it reaches a station I can hear. There is a headphone jack so that you can plug in your own headphones and listen to the radio. I accidentally set off the “SOS” function when I had it set face down in my tent but left it on, and I was actually unimpressed. The sound wasn’t as loud as I had hoped. I was expecting something more like the alarm system level of noise I have at my house, but, at the same time, I wasn’t exactly expecting a portable car alarm for the price, so, I’m not really upset about that at all. It’s otherwise perfect in my opinion.

Very good, picks up very well. Very sturdy case. Flashlight are very bright. 3ways to charge is awesome. Love the AM/FM radio... Price was great for a product of this quality.. I would have thought a product of this quality would cost much more. Great for a gift. Get one, you will love it...
