This Hand Crank Emergency Radio is a great item to have if you live in a hurricane or tornado prone part of the country. It’s a very convenient size, about the size of a short brick. It has its own antenna that folds down into the edge of the top of the radio. Also on the top is a compass and a handy handle to make it easier to carry. There’s also a fold up light bar under the small solar power panel. On the end of the unit is a rubber cover that opens to show a USB-A, a USB-C and a 3.5mm headphone port. It also comes with its own USB-A and USB-C cable. It has a button for a flashlight, a reading light and a Bluetooth button. The flashlight has high and low beam options. With the USB port, you can use the USB charging cable to charge electronic devices with an input of 5V or less.I accidentally hit the SOS button and it is a very loud siren. Got the radio to start working with just cranking for about a minute and it picked up both FM and AM stations very easily. There’s an indicator on the front that shows what the battery status is and other indicators show whether the battery is being charged by being plugged in or being in the sun.The speaker works more for listening to talk radio or news, and I don’t have speakers to attach to it to test it to see how music quality is.The crank on the back can be stored so that the back is almost flat so you won’t have to be looking for a separate crank in an emergency situation. It comes with a small manual with illustrations and text. Excited to try out the solar charging panel and see what kind of a charge comes from being out in the sun.

I’m very impressed with all the features on this emergency radio. I love the security of having this next to our bedside and ready to go, especially when our power goes out, which happens more frequently than we’d like.It has a very bright light, two actually. One is a spot light type on the end and the other is more of a table side/reading lamp when you flip up the solar panel. When it comes to powering it, it can be charged with the provided USB cord, or by the solar panel or hand crank. I have not tried the solar or hand crank yet, but charged it overnight with the cord and days later with only using the radio feature for a bit, it has retained a full charge. It has a 20,000 mAh battery capacity, so it is great for emergency charging of your phone. It also has a compass, AM, FM and Weather radio, as well as Bluetooth. The sound quality isn’t great for music, but good enough to bring in radio and the NOAA stations very clear. There is also a very loud, orange panic/alarm button on it that is startling when pressed, but very effective. It can be heard for quite a distance and the lights flash while it is going off.I’d recommend one of these for everyone to have in your car/RV/ camping gear as well as in the house. I’m keeping this handy, as last time the power was out for 5 hours, I had to scramble to find my flashlight.

This unit is a good add for your home/car emergency kit. I live in the mountains, and it is not uncommon for power to go out - sometimes for several days. One of the features that I like most about this emergency radio is the 20,000 mA battery which provides plenty of capacity for charging my phone multiple times. The other needed item during those power outages is light - and this radio provides several sources. Under the solar panel is a flip up light that is bright enough for reading or illuminating a small room. It also has a flashlight that is tightly focused (see photo) and additional LED panel lights. You could also use the battery to charge other essential USB devices - including other light sources. When the power is out, the solar panel and hand crank give a means to charge. I don't expect either to fully charge the battery quickly, but they give options to provide additional power to the battery - especially if it is running low.The radio is not bad. Tuning is crisp, but can be difficult to tune into a specific station. The antenna helps improve reception. With mountains blocking many stations, I am still able to tune into both AM and FM stations, and receive the Weather Band signal. The speaker provides clear midrange sound - good for voices, and marginal for music. It provides ample volume. The speaker can also be used as a Bluetooth device (Pair with device: H27).A few detractors:- The compass is really not usable. There is no precision, and it jams while trying to turn.- The strap covers the solar panel. Don't use the strap while charging- The SOS button is located where you tend to grab the unit - meaning you will likely scare yourself silly grabbing it.- The antenna is a typical metal extension antenna. Take care to not bend/snap.- There is only one USB charging port.Nevertheless, I recommend this Emergency Radio. This should be part of everyone's emergency bag!

It works well. Can charge my phone, and has clean audio from the radio. Also pretty loud for a little radio.
