I really wanted to like this, it looks stylish but if it doesn’t work great then it doesn’t matter how it looks. No matter which burner you use, there’s only 2 flame settings…high and super high. Can’t simmer anything, it just burns it or boils it. Definitely would not recommend.

Update 1 1/2 years later: Cooktop is holding up ok. However, 1) One of the burner rings is lifting up, allowing food/liquid to get under the glass top. The only way to fix is completely uninstalling, disassembling...not worth the effort. 2) The plastic knobs don't hold up wellThe Good:1. Very nice appearance.2. Regulator/adapters included (for 3/8 gas line).3. Burner/flame quality is very good (nice blue uniform flame).4. Quality of the casting (grates). Much better than those on my Frigidaire, which wobbled and didn't provide an even surface.5. Easy to clean..grates lift right, wipe down and you are done. The glass surface doesn't hold on to cooked on food as easily as bare stainless or painted enamel finishes.The Bad:1. No mounting brackets (unit simply rests on counter or must be caulked in place).2. Flame control is horrible. 1/4 turn from full on to off, with very little variance in flame height. Tried contacting customer service and received a photo of someone adjusting the gas regulator. Tried it with no change in the range from low to high flame (still too little variance....flame simply doesn't lower enough to simmer). I've lowered my rating from 4 to 3 stars because of these significant defect in design.3. Non-standard depth, leaves slight gap in counter opening on front/rear. This unit is a little narrower than the standard units made for the US market, e.g. GE, Whirlpool, etc.4. The grates for the front burners don't provide full support for large pots at the front of the cook top near the control knobs. Small burners should have been placed up front.5. Not really a flaw but the glass top does streak easily. I personally don't care because I use the cooktop as a cooktop, not something that's supposed to remain pristine in appearance. Actually, a quick wipe down with streak free vinegar glass cleaner does the trick.Been through several cooktops over the years. Jenn-air: burners corroded and ignitor system failure (10 years). Frigidaire: Burner grates frequently broke, gas valve failure (4 years). Purchased this as a stop gap, hoping it lasts a few years until I can source a quality 30" cooktop at a good price (prices have increased too much to justify spending $800 on a unit that was $500 2 years ago).

I have 3 children and am in the kitchen all the time, making loads of messes. This stove top stands up to the constant use and then cleans up like a breeze every night. I haven't had to scrub at a spot yet, it just wipes right up!

Good --- It is inexpensiveBad - The range of the flame height (high to low heat) is almost non-existent. It goes from high to medium-high only. This will make getting the correct temperature very, very difficult. This is by far the worst "feature" of this product, and one that would have been easily avoided.The knobs controlling the heat are very, very close to the burner grates. While I haven't used it extensively, I'm just waiting for a burn. It would be extremely easy to go to turn off a burner and accidentally touch the grate. I don't know how hot they would be at that point, but I expect that after a long cook period they would be very hot.They did include the required nozzles for conversion to propane. While this would normally be very easy to do (unscrew the NG and screw in the LPG nozzle (times 5)), a couple of mine were almost welded in. It took me 6 tools (breaking one almost brand new tool) to get one of these out. One of the nozzles (center burner) is on its side with almost no clearance. I have a fairly extensive tool kit, but this one took a trip to the hardware store to purchase a 7mm box/crescent wrench. This whole process (just the nozzles) took at least 120 minutes, and a lot of frustrating anger.Bottom Line.Unless you are on a very tight budget, spend the extra for a name brand cook top.

We bought this to replace an old, poorly designed, 4 burner, LPG cooktop, and must say, "So glad we did!" And here's why....1st: Great value for an elegant, modern, design.2nd: It arrived on time and in perfect condition3rd: All the parts listed to switch form NG to LPG were included.4th: Easy to install for those mechanically inclined.5th: So far, it has been easy to clean.

It is good to see they are still making these type of units over the glass surface models. Easy to clean and works very well! No blemishes or scratching and installed with no issues. This product came in adequately packaged and ready with everything needed for installation. The instruction could be reviewed a bit, but there are plenty of resources on YouTube and GE’s website. It was a direct drop-in for a model that was presiously obsoleted. Thanks GE and Amazon!

Replaced my glass cooktop with this, even though the glass one was on sale for less that week. I hope this will keep its looks longer than the glass one did. Even though I used the glass polish cleaner, it did not really keep the glass cooktop from showing its age, so I went for this one. It's great, heats quickly and evenly, a breeze to clean, centrally located dials give you more space for big pots and pans. I like the styling and it was a breeze to install, under 1/2 hour since it was the same size as my GE glass cooktop. No complaints. I hope it keeps its looks longer than the glass one. I cook daily, use the cooktop constantly in summer. Nothing but good results so far.Updated: I originally thought it was my counter that was not level, but three of the burners are level and only one is not -- of course, it's the one I use most often so it's very aggravating. Quality control could be better.

Received this new cooktop in good time well packaged. Its perfect! All I had to do was cut away some of the counter to make the opening a little larger. Fit right in there then no problems. It works perfect! Looks great! I'm happy! :)
