The design is good , tall burners and grate clearance is just right to quickly heat up the food.The knobs are kid-proof so while they turn you'd need to press and turn for the gas flow.The only gripe was the supplied plug is not a 90deg one and takes up more room , with limited clearance with the back wall for my oven I had to cut the cable and replace the plug with a 90deg one to accommodate the oven below, but that issue us specific to our setup may not apply for others

This was easy to install and works well. It is also easy to clean as there are few places that cannot be easily accessed to clean up spills. I do have one major complaint. Each knob has a tiny black dot on it to indicate the position it is in. That is how you tell if a burner is off or on at some level. The dots are so small it was easy for me to leave one burner on low over night. I painted a .38 inch red spot over each tiny black dot so I can tell from a distance, and at a glance, that all burners are indeed off. This is a safety concern that shold be addressed by the manufacturer. See photo of modified knobs.

I wasn’t sure about the Empava name brand, but I would buy it again. The quality is good and the style beautiful. Other reviews said it was hard to light, but I don’t have that issue. It’s very easy to clean . Love it

First of all, the burner configuration was not exactly how it looks on the picture. The smallest burner is at the right lower corner, but the picture on website shows left lower corner. This is not a big deal... Until.... however, the burner cap does not fit well, and it prevented auto igniting mechanism from working. The company does not take phone calls, only email (it states because of the COVID. I don't know how does virus have anything to do with answering phone calls. You can work from home). With almost two weeks back and forth email, we received the replacement, but it was the wrong size (due to their wrong configuration, although I kept on telling them it is the smallest burner). For the past few days, they don't respond to their emails. As 1 month window is closing soon, I may have to return the unit. Too bad, I really did not want to do that simply because of a wrong burner cap issue. That tells you how important customer service is.

Good product for the price. However, there are some issues. Finish on the stainless is poor. There are blemishes along the front edge where the steel is bent. I’d swear they were weld lines, but it wouldn’t make sense to be welded in these locations. The whole unit it slightly tinny. A bit more heft would lend a solid feel that this is lacking. However, the controls work well and the burners are well matched. The overall design is easy to clean. This replaced an aged Jenn-Aire ceramic glass unit. That one was more difficult to keep clean with nooks and crannies that loved to conceal grease and crumbs. In contrast, this wipes clean very easily. Overall a good budget buy that could be really nice with some basic quality controls and a few well placed weights to improve the feel.
