Looks great, but this thing is very loud! We’re also pretty sure that this was an open box although fortunately there was no damage. No installation instructions whatsoever. This thing does have a lot of weight to it so it took three people to install when mounting to the ceiling bracket. Two to hold it and one to screw it in.

Great value and quality. We went from a non vented system to the vented Empava. I can’t believe how much smoke this unit can remove. It’s powerful. It’s loud. It’s loud because it’s powerful. High quality all around. Even the push buttons are rock solid. I’m impressed.My only very minor critique and recommendation to the company is to use soft white lights. It came with daylight temperature lights which didn’t work well for cooking, at least not for us. Bulbs are replaceable so it’s an easy swap.
