Works with a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse that previously had an MSD coil. After researching I found that the MSDs are notorious for going out and causing a misfire. Replaced it with this and it fixed the misfire issue. I don’t know the longevity of this product but at this cost I will just buy another if it fails.

Hoping for a long life, but really bought because it was so much cheaper than the name brands. I was to lazy and it was too cold out to properly diagnose the problem. I was pretty sure it was the coil and for $20 bucks I now know I was right. I'll be ordering an oem delphi unit and putting this one in my tuneup cabinet just in case.

Purchase this for my old 1999 Dodge Stratus 4 door base model with the 2.4L DOHC Engine. It developed an engine miss in route. Plugged in my code reader and found #4 cylinder not firing. Unplugged #4 spark plug wire to check for spark and found it very weak and intermittent. Switched #4 spark plug wire with #1 spark plug wire (the only other wire that was long enough) and started engine to rechecked engine light code. Still coding #4 cylinder... which eliminated a possible bad plug wire.Ordered this coil with prime and it arrived the next day. It was very easy to install and took around 1/2 hour including tool fetching, cleanup, clearing computer code and test drive. Now running good and on all 4!When reading previous reviews and questions about this product many were asking if this coil comes with the 4 mount bolts. No, they don't and they shouldn't be needed. The coil mount bolts screw into the plastic intake manifold and should turn-out rather easy. Just be sure to use the proper size when removing. A 10mm ratcheting-wrench is the only tool I used for the whole job.And one last thing. You may want to unplug the wire harness to check the 3 contact pins inside the coil before ordering. There are 2 coils manufactured out there and they both look identical except for the 3 wire harness port that plugs into the coil; one has 3 flat pins and the other has 3 round pins and are not interchangeable. See attached photos for the difference.

Easy install. The only thing is that it did not come with bolts and the bolts from the old piece did not work with this new part. This meant i had to wait to install until I was able to run and get the bolts needed. This added a few extra days which was a little inconvenience but not a huge deal. I think each bolt cost like 75 cents. However, the part itself has now been in my car for about 6 months, through a brutal cold winter and I have had zero issue. Part was a perfect match and fit for my 03 Cooper.
