This is an updated review!Originally I commented that my guitar would not fit and I was dissatisfied but after reaching out to the company I was informed how to properly insert the guitar with worded and photo instructions and now my guitar fits like a glove!I'm very satisfied with this guitar case and I implore you before you get upset that your guitar will not fit keep trying and you'll get it to fit.Just insert the bottom corner then slowly rest down the body of the guitar and it will fit with some Force but after that it fits perfectly!I'll end this updated review with this case is well manufactured and I just love it.

Ce étui rigide n’est pas conforme à la description annoncée ! Une guitare Epiphone explorer ne rentre pas dans cet étui rigide. Dégoûté

At first glance I didn’t think my explorer was going to fit which is stated in some of the other reviews but it has to be pressed into the corners and it becomes an excellent fit and prevents the guitar from moving around inside the case and overall the case itself is pretty sturdy and seems to be well built

I have no complaints. It is heavy, but it's an Explorer case. I love the outside material—I could've sworn it was leather. There is plenty of room inside. I love it!David

This case is seriously heavy duty. It's nice interior-wise - and plush. It's a bit LARGER than my other guitar cases - mainly because is needs to be larger to accommodate the Explorer. So - be aware that this case almost looks like a case for a BASS Guitar when you receive it. There is a bit of room left over - meaning "headroom" above the headstock - maybe 4 inches between the "tip" of headstock and the inside case wall ) - but that's better than having too little headroom - and there's a large capacity storage compartment inside for accessories like cords and such. Overall, I'm very happy that it actually fits my guitar.

This is a very nice case and I didn't think it was as heavy as I thought it would be based on some of the reviews. Sadly, I bought it in the hopes that it would fit some of my oddly shaped '80s shredder Guilds based on reviews on another site. It does not. I cannot fault the case for not fitting Guilds, though, and gladly give the case's build quality, hinges, protection, and latches a five-star review. I'm writing this for anyone who's hunting for a case for any of these '80s Guild models: X-79 Skyhawk, X-80 Swan, and X-88 Flying Star Crue. The Guild X-79 fits, but the case is WAY too long for this guitar and a little bit wide. Additionally, with the case closed, the guitar slides around when moving the case. Yes, it's in a case, but that's not good enough protection for me.The Guild X-80 also fits, but with a lot of extra space. Again, when the case is closed the guitar can slide around making the protection less than desirable. The Guild X-88 is simply too large and does not fit at all.Again, the case itself is very nice and is worthy of the 5 stars I've given it. The purpose of my review is to let others know that these wacky Guilds may not fit as desired. See the attached pics for details.

I'm sure this case is great when it fits the guitar. Unfortunately, I assumed it would fit a 1984 EX model Epiphone Explorer and it does not fit. I'm hoping I can repurpose it to fit the guitar somehow, but the cutout is in no way big enough for the style of Explorer I bought.Edit: It appears I was perhaps sent the wrong product entirely. Not sure what to do besides giving this a one star review.

Buen estuche. La guitarra entra perfectamente. Aparentemente se ve que es robusta. Espero no tener que comprobarlo. Me quedan tres palabras.

I bought this for an Epiphone USA Map Guitar.I have uploaded photos of all views for this case.Overall Length: (closed) 49.25"Case Thickness: (closed) 5" (5.5" with feet from floor to top)Inside Total Length: 47"- 48" (stuffed)Body Cavity Length: 23"Body Cavity Width: 15"-16"Neck Rest: 1.5" wide / Neck Cradle CenteredTop Headstock Area Length: 12"- 12.5"Top Headstock Area Width: 15" - 16"Inside Compartment Length: 8.5"Inside Compartment Width: 15" -16"CASE IS A BIT HEAVY.It probably weighs more than the guitar inside.Case is sturdy when closed and latched. The walls seem to be a thick cardboard core and slightly bendable, but standard in quality construction for a case this large at this price. Not too many choices out there if you are looking for a case with these dimensions.Personally I don't mind an overly large and heavy case but I would be cautious about it getting beaten up if you are on the road or moving gear frequently. Your guitar will be well protected, but the case might get beat up if care isn't taken.Stitching & binding seems to be of the same general quality.Really nothing special about this case except that most likely any guitar will fit inside. Most Bass guitars included. Check the listed dimensions.Plenty of room inside the accessory compartment as well as at the top up by the headstock for just about anything, and a lot of it. lol. There are a couple of factory flaws with some glue marks, a couple scuffs and a small dent probably from packing & shipping.Overall I am satisfied with this stock Epiphone case.Very well padded.1" x 10" x 44" extra padding for neck on the upper inside lid of the case.Nice quality plush lining - Made in China.Standard quality hardware, hinges, handle, feet, etc. - Nothing special. It closes, latches and performs exactly as expected.Only one key for the lock is included inside the case...somewhere. lol.Check the photos for close ups!amazon(DOT)com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B003NAW8MC/ref=cm_cmu_up_thanks_hdrHope this helps!

This is a great hard shell case for your explorer. It is big, but so is your guitar. The case is plush and fits the guitar just right, theres also a lot of room for you other stuff, whatever that may be. Good case, good price, no shipping charge, win for me, and possibly for you too.
