To me this instrument is an acoustic guitar with a very sophisticated onboard amplification system. Both the neck and bridge humbuckers, Epiphone Probuckers 2 and 3, can be split which results in 8 distinct voices by my count. The tone pots have a lot of range, they are more responsive than your run of the mill budget guitar pots (think PRS SE). A set of D'Addario XL 10-42 strings will make this your personal rhythm monster complete with bright or dark clean tones and some really coherent dirt. The infamous hollow body feedback hasn't been an issue for me with this guitar in high volume, high gain or high reverb settings. You just have to learn your instrument.Mechanically this guitar has a relatively flat fretboard, wide string spacing and only 20 frets. Again, for me it's a rhythm machine. I don't do vintage jazz but with a flat wound 12-48 string set (wound G string of course) it might be the ultimate jazz box. A full hollow body, the Joe Pass II Pro sounds great. Elixir nanoweb strings sound nice on it. The Probucker pickups have plenty of high end, with clear articulation. It can sound great as Jazz and blues, but can also rock out - the only issue with it being prone to feedback - like any full hollow body. It compares favorably with the 335 and the Sheraton II Pro.

I love this guitar! I sent back two others because I knew I wouldn't play them. But this instrument rings beautifully! I was also nervous to purchase from it from Amazon, but after reviewing their return policy, I decided to go for it. The guitar arrived with all its tags (not so with other new guitars I've ordered from "music stores") and right out of the box it played beautifully. I'm mostly using the neck pick up for jazz standards. Also, I changed the strings to flat wound 12s, and I am really enjoying it. I have other more expensive guitars, but this one has won my heart.

Natürlich muss man die Saiten wechseln, aber dann besitzt man eine optisch sehr schöne, gut klingende und gut bespielbare Gitarre.

Ho acquistato questa chitarra qualche tempo fa, il prezzo praticato da Amazon era di circa il 25/30% scontato dal listino e allora lo ritenni conveniente. Sin dall'arrivo lo strumento non entusiasmava, aveva un suono sordo. Ho aspettato tanto suonando in casa con amplificatore e senza per cercare di far aprire il legno (come si dice in gergo) ma niente da fare, lo strumento non rende e presenta una serie di difetti che lo rendono inutilizzabile, soprattutto per un uso in pubblico o da palco. I Principali difetti sono: Suoni sordi su vari tasti lungo il manico per diverse corde. Suoni cupi e vibrazioni infinite su altri, come ad esempio il 10°, 11° tasto della 5° corda con volume che va alle stelle da solo, cosi anche per vari tasti della 2° corda. Adesso addirittura è fuori uso in quanto suona solo con la chiavetta (selettore pick up) in posizione alta (pick up manico) le altre due posizioni restano mute.Non so se un liutaio possa aggiustarla o meno, ma sicuramente l'intervento sarà oneroso, e non vedo perchè debba rivolgermi ad un riparatore, non per modifiche o per malaugurato incidente, ma per rendere funzionante uno strumento nuovo che per regola doveva esserlo di suo. La mia sola responsabilità è di non averlo segnalato con immediatezza, La chitarra è stata tenuta con cura ed usata esclusivamente in casa, coperta quando viene riposta, ed ha suonato relativamente poco.Mi aspetterei una presa in carico da Amazon per la sotituzione gratuita dello strumento o la sua messa in efficienza (come da specifiche della casa)

L'ho acquistata per la promozione che ha reso il prezzo molto molto appetibile. Infatti questa chitarra è bellissima e suona magnificamente. Le rifiniture sono degne di modelli superiori. Quindi in conclusione la promozione ha reso il rapporto qualità prezzo irresistibile!!! L'unico motivo pet il quale non ho dato 5 stelle é il fatto di non aver incluso la custodia.... Ho acquistato l'originale per 100€, non poco!!!In conclusione, restando sul piano puramente tecnico è una chitarra che consiglio a prescindere.
