Just an okay for the price. I purchase the 7g and 12g, 58mm for my EMC Classika PID. Just could not get the right extraction from the 2 basket.

I stumbled upon this product from a review posted to another website which included images taken with a microscope comparing the condition of the holes between this product, which is laser cut, and the filter basket that comes with the Gaggia espresso maker. You can also simply hole the filter basket up to a bright light or use a magnifying glass to see that the holes in the Gaggia filter basket are merely punched, many of them roughly, and some of them failing to punch through at all. I bought the 58 mm, 18 gm version for the Gaggia E24.The trouble with this product though is that there's not enough base metal in the rim to secure my Normcore 58mm Magnetic Dosing Funnel V2. With the dosing funnel atop my Gaggia filter basket I could use it to push the button on my grinder. With this product, the filter comes off. So I'm back to grinding without the dosing funnel, with the occasional spill of grounds. I can still slap the funnel on after I'm done grinding before stirring the grounds with a distribution tool.

There is a ridge near the top which trapped some coffee grind. After WDT and tampering, you will lose some grinds trapped in the ridge. Your carefully measured coffee grinds will be off. And, even with a puck screen, you cannot avoid getting coffee stain to the shower screen, etc. The ridge was used to hold the basket in place. My other basket does not have this issue.

I closely examined this one (the 12g size) against the IMS BaristaPro and also the stock basket that came with my Gaggia Classic Pro. This hole quality and consistency is right on par with the IMS (far better than the Gaggia), and it performs very similarly for me.

Well made filter basket for 58mm portafilter. Got the 21g size to make triple shots. The holes are proper for good extraction, works well as intended. I can easily fit 25g in this basket. Recommend.

This looks just like the basket that came with my portafilter, except for the anodized finish on the original, and it fits properly. Stainless like this is the normal material for such baskets.
