It’s worked well for my crochet bag projects. It has very little stretch, perfect for bags. I still have 1.5 rolls leftover after making two different bags.

As a beginner, this is my first time using a polyester macrame rope yarn ever. Wow! This quickly has become my favorite for placemats and coasters. Great quality and value, easy to work with. It contains a light sheen which makes it elegantly functional but not overly dressy. You dress this up with your favorite stainless steel utensils, or dress it down with paperware. I was tempted to take away one star because the edges frayed very easily-probaby because this is the nature of the yarn. I followed the advice of another review, and burned the end of the rope, and it worked! Tail end of my yarn stop fraying (see pic). Also, even though the color description indicates "hunter green", it is not. This is more like a deep Olive green, but at least it is exactly as pictured and I still love it. Just be sure to look at the color of the yarn instead of going by the color description. I highly recommend this yarn, and I would defintely purchase this product again for more projects.

I'm crocheting a handbag using this cord. It's very strong & looks nice after it's worked up. I got the taupe color & it's a pretty shade. It will come unraveled if the ends aren't burnt (I use a lighter to singe the ends a little bit) I don't think I'd buy this again because I prefer cotton cordage, it's softer. However, if your wanting strong durable cord for your project, this would work. IMO, The price point is comparable to similar cord.

I know this is macrame cord, but I don't do macrame. But I do crochet. I also garden. I got this cord do make crocheted hammocks for my watermelons and cantalopes, which I am growing on a trellis. They are small watermelons, but when the wind blows they fall off the vine before they are ripe, so they need support. Some people use old bras, but since you can see my garden from the street there's no way I'm doing that! :)But I digress. This cord is a nice size and crochets well. It is braided rather than twisted, so you don't get splitting like you do with many yarns and cords. Its shininess makes it slide against itself and the hook better than a more matte cord of the same size I have (they are pictured side by side so you can see the difference in appearance). Honestly, I like the look of the more matte cord better, but I like how this feels when crafting better than the other. So if the shininess doesn't bother you I recommend this.

This yarn is really nice to work with. It's heavier than you would normally expect with a yarn of this gauge, probably almost described as cord. I cut off a section of yarn and put it through the recommended cold wash and low temperature dry, and it didn't shrink, leech or lose color, or experience any negative effects, and it looks just like new.Being polypropylene, this is useful for a lot of things, but it's definitely not a natural fabric. So it doesn't stretch very much, and you should be aware that it will behave like many plastics under heavy heat and melt or catch fire if it gets way too hot, so don't expose it to open flames. It definitely is a good fabric for items that you want to have a more 'rough' and handmade appearance. It's good for amigurumi, I made a little figure and it gave it a very homemade look, kind of like 'Sackboy' if you know the character. I only made that as a test for myself though so I don't feel confident showing that, though. This is definitely a good fabric and I can recommend it to everyone if you need something like this. The only downside was trying to figure out which of the strings on it were the one I needed to pull to start unspooling it!I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis. I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. I will not mince words. I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

Great material for macrame. Knot definition with this material is amazingly clear. The coloir is black, but it's a vibrant black . It works up nice even if you are doing something like crochet. Would make a great addition to a mandala crochet rug which is what I am using it for.

Very nice soft and easy to work macrame, look what I did in few hours and these are my first first projects (not perfect work by me but I am learning). I love this cord and I will order more colors to make more nice jewels.

The label suggests using a 4mm hook, but I prefer using a 5mm or even a 6mm for my projects. It isn't as tight, but it's easier to work with. I made this into a small coin purse and it was actually pretty easy to work with. It ceetainly ends up looking a bit different than standard acrylic yarn, but that's what I was going for.
