Worked very well for about a year, then experience temp fluctuations and inaccuracies; as a soapmaker, this was most inconvenient. Recently it packed it in, thinking it was a battery issue, it simply would not work at all. I won't buy again. :(

En lo general buen producto fácil de usar desde que lo recibí tarde más en abrir el paquete que en ponerlo en marcha, lecturas casi precisas en las imágenes aparece la lectura del termómetro y la lectura del refrigerador donde lo probé.Se siente un poco frágil pero creo que es cuestión de darle un buen uso y cuidarlo

This product amazed me with the quality the instant I took it out of the packaging, it just feels like a well made tool. I used it for the first time tonight making pasta and a homemade pasta sauce. I just had to check both pots occasionally to see how fast the temperature was building. I was told I was like a kid with a new toy and I a 73 year old kid with a new toy doing my cooking this evening. I will enjoy finding many uses for this very nice product.

This was purchased for my new son-in-law. We use them for everything. Chemicals can not be added to the pond till the water temperature gets to 55 in the spring. We check it daily with the gun. We have a post and beam home with a cathedral ceiling and it has helped us insulate cracks as the boards have dried as well as check ceiling temperature verses room temperature. We monitored the garden soil with it as well as the door jams. Seriously we've used it for everthing...even checking the temperature of meat on a grill once when camping!

Seems to generally work. I question accuracy though. I made a quick test in my freezer. My traditional freezer thermometer reads 0 deg F. I scanned many items in the freezer giving a range of -11F to 30F. All items should be identical. I understand that the surface reflectivity is different on the various item packaging, but I am disappointed by the great variation with such a simple test of the unit.

Bought in 2018. Now 2023.Use it a few times a month. Still works well. No problems. (I agree an off for the beep would be good)Original review:So far just testing it out it seems to work good. See if it continues to function well. The instructions are fairly clear, and the basic functionality is extremely obvious to use. Using the reference system is not immediately obvious, but the instructions make clear how to do it.As long as it continues to function well, I would give it 5 stars.

Bought this after my air conditioner repairman used one to diagnose possible thermostat troubles. It seems to be dead-on accurate and has already been used to change my refrigerator temperature (was too warm), freezer temperature (was unnecessarily cold), and to balance airflow among rooms. All tasks could have been done with air thermometers, but this saved literally hours of work. I also used it to eliminate a switchbox as a possible source of a burning plastic smell. It arrived with a DOA 9 volt battery but chasing a replacement didn't seem to be worth the effort as I had new ones in the house.

I ended up returning it because the plastic piece that covers the screen just fell off after few times using it. It worked good just not for me and I don’t want to find out if anything happens after some time.

Here's the deal... The product arrived on time and in good condition. Users manual was succinct and easy to understand. I tested each of the functions and modes as described by the seller and the unit performed as advertised. While I didn't cross check it's accuracy with a calibrated device, it will be sufficient for my intended applications. I'm happy with the purchase so far. There you have it.
