I love these heads. I needed to put new heads on my Ludwig Classic Maple kit and had previously been using clear Evans EC2's, which sounded great, but I decided to go with the coated G2's for a little warmer sound. I have been using the coated G2's on my snare for a few years and really liked them, so I thought I'd try them on my toms (10,13,16, &18) and they sound great. Perfect amount of attack, nice warm tone, I would recommend these to anybody.

I have been a fan of very few drumhead brands and styles. The Evans G2 make my drums sing. The tone is perfect and the mid-range attack that they produce has allowed me to use them with the multiple bands that I play in. I need versatility as I am playing in 5 bands with music variety from big band to rock, pop, and country. Highly recommended all around!

For years, I've stood by the Evans G2 heads!These are a great product. They're very durable, and they produce a warmer tone, with a bit more attack than clear heads. With the proper tuning, they sound great on just about any kit, for any type of music. I wouldn't put any other head on my kit!

These drum heads are the best, they pitch out a perfect sound and are ready to play. Tuning these drum heads will not be a problem, they are best for studio use, live, church, and practicing.. I highly recommend the G2 drum head for you, your gonna love it, I guarantee it. Oh and also for you drummers out there, who are using the Evans E-Ring, you will not be needing it anymore with this drum head.

I always use Evans drum heads, they have never failed me and I'll never look back. I bought this head for my DW 10inch snare that I use and it takes a pounding. I beat the hell out of my drums as I play extremely hard and after over 3 months of pretty continual use it's still in great shape with really no damage due to the dual ply. It holds a great tone and tune for months of use, so if you need one get it you won't be disappointed.
