A weld came loose after the first use on my Big Green Egg. Also there is no way you are getting 20 oysters on here. It’s too small! I threw it away and bought the Steve Raichlen rack instead.

As an oyster farmer, I prefer them raw. But when grilling them, I have found this rack to be my favorite. Oysters are not uniform in size or shape and other racks expect them all to be the same, this rack allows for the variability in size and shape when fitting into the grill. The handles are too big for my needs but are convenient for handling.

I bought this to make chargrilled oysters indoors on my double-burner cast iron stovetop grill pan. A dozen oysters stay in place on the rack and don't tip over, spilling their juices. I measured my grill pan before purchasing, and it fits perfectly. The rack keeps the oysters slightly above the grill pan surface and they cook nicely. Much easier cleanup, too.

We were watching Steve Raichlen on TV and wanted to try grilling and smoking oysters. Without a proper pan you end up losing a lot of the oyster liquid. This pan is sturdy and holds the oysters so no more spillage. Great investment if you like grilled or smoked oysters!
