I bought 3 sets to try (by popular brands). These were the most secure fitting, the most free moving wheels, and the best looking. They cost about 20.00 more than one of the pairs I compared to, and 100.00 more than the other. So I’m not saying it was apple to apple comparison. But definitely the right presence and quality for the price.

I hadnt skated in decades and decided to get back on some skates. After looking at all the features new skates had to offer I decided on these for a couple reasons. The first reason was the adjustable frame. There are a lot of cheaper skates that have integrated frames, this was a main point for me. Having an adjustable frame, I think is mandatory. For a beginners especially, if you can't stand up straight in your skate because the frame isn't under the foots center of balance skating will be harder than it needs to be. You can see in my picture that I am all the way to one side with my frame, I also ended up moving it backwards on position as well. The second reason I like this skate is the included 'Flat' or 'Rocker' Axles that you can try out, or not. Having never heard of rocker skate frames I wasn't sure what to think. After using the rocker, I really like it. The best way I can explain it is that it gives you much more maneuverability at the expense of stability and speed. For me I am going to the skate rink mostly with some outside skating but never distance skating so it's fun to have the maneuverability. The last thing that I want to mention is the ability to now upgrade my skate. When I bought it, I wasn't sure I would really enjoy or stick with skating. Now that I am enjoying it, I have a skate that I can make changes to since this skate is based on standard inline skate components. All of the parts are attached with screws so they can be changed/fixed as needed. I personally didn't really like the ankle strap and it was simple to remove since it was screwed on not riveted on.Speaking of changes, I think the first upgrade that I will end up doing is changing the liner. The stock liner is nice but after a few hours of skating my inside ankle bone starts getting sore. I have given it a couple months to see if it was just a rub point that would toughen up but so far it still gets sore a few hours in. To be fair I also have bony ankles and my wife who got the same skate does not have the same sore point.

When I opened the box I was totally amazed by the look and the feel of these skates. Put them on my feet and I fell in love immediately. They have to break in obviously but my size 42 is the perfect fit for me. Skated in them and I don't think I ever want another brand of skate, everything about them is quality for your money. Love them, highly recommend them to anyone they will allow you to have the best skate experience you could ever have.

I was a little nervous at first because they say these skates are narrow at the toe and I have wide feet. But these skates are Amazing!! Very supportive/ extremely comfortable and gives a very agile and responsive feeling. I’m a Size US10 and got this in a size 44 Incase any other size 10s out there were confused about the size. If not then you can easily google Flying Eagle’s size chart and get your proper size and order up in size as recommended. But totally happy with these skates and delivered a day early. 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼

These are good skates for starting to learn freeride and slalom. I got these skates because I wanted to learn slalom but didn't want to spend a fortune on fancy slalom-specific skates without being sure I was sure I was going to commit to it. This was the first time I was going to try skating since I was a child. I've had these skates for a couple months now, and have had a few enjoyable skate sessions with them that included learning some slalom tricks (like the crab cross and crisscross+spin). I've also mastered switching between going backwards and forwards and started to learn the heel-toe spin. I haven't tried switching to a rocker position yet, but it looks like it would be very easy to do (you don't need to buy anything else to switch to rocker - you just need to turn the bolts on the front and back wheels the opposite way with the tool that comes in the box). Before my last session I was able to successfully rotate my wheels that had gotten some wear on them. The tool needed for this comes in the box and it was easy to use it. Overall these skates are fun to ride with, and hug your foot enough to be able to execute different maneuvers.Getting the right size was the tricky part for me. I'm a woman with an 8 shoe size and my feet are on the narrow side. Originally I got size 40 based on the chart after measuring the length of my foot in cm. However, when I tried them on and tried skating around the house a bit, I noticed I was getting heel lift, and the skate wasn't tight enough on my foot to feel fully stable. I wasn't sure if I should go a size smaller because I was afraid it would be too short for my foot, but I ordered the size 39, and it fit me much better. Size 40 and 39 seem to share the same shell - I measured both after I received the 39, before I returned the 40, and they seemed to be the same length and width. I was hoping that wasn't the case because I was afraid with the same shell the smaller skates wouldn't hug my feet tightly enough, but somehow that was okay - the lining inside seems to be puffier to a degree that's enough to provide significantly more stability. I think the skates could be even more perfect - I sometimes have to tighten the laces in the middle of my session, but I would say if these are your first skates don't worry about it being insanely perfect and just go for 1 size smaller than the chart, because they're definitely sufficient for all the tricks I've tried. As long as they feel stable and you're not getting annoying heel lift. I actually also got some Dr. Scholl’s Comfort Double Air-Pillo shoe insoles before my last session that I cut out to the size of the insole that comes with the skate (just a tiny bit longer), and I didn't consciously notice the difference, but it probably helps make the skate more stable.Overall, I recommend these as first-time slalom/freeride skates for someone who already knows how to do normal skating forwards, and I can't speak to this, but I'm sure they would serve through intermediate level, too.
