My driver inside door handle broke a week ago, so after watching a Youtube video, I looked for a replacement. These were the best value, since you get all four handles, just in case, and the price per handle was much lower than only getting the one I needed now. They fit just right and installed in less than five minutes. The handle feels smoother and slightly thicker than the original, and the spring is much larger.Just make sure you don't put the old one back on again first, like I did, ha ha.

These handles fit perfectly and were easy to install. Took no more than 15 minutes to replace all 4 handles (yes, we were that close to getting locked in the car with no handle to get us out). One note: the description for the product says it won't work with power door locks. That is only partly true--the handles don't have a slot for a power door lock button, but work just fine with doors with power door locks where the handle doesn't have a button. Bottom line, if your doors have power locks, but look like these, these will work.

I had 2 broken handles in my 2000 Corolla and I am still a bit bewildered how inexpensive, simple, and hassle free this was. I'm decently handy and this took me literally less than 10 minutes to replace 2 handles. All the parts seem identical to what was in the car and they match the color perfectly. They actually look better since the old ones have obviously been sitting through 23 years of hot summers and sun. The hardest part was just getting the old broken pieces off! Replacing the license plate light bulbs in the car were more cumbersome than this repair. If these fit your car and you need to replace them, or even if you just WANT to, don't look anywhere else.

The handle looks like original equipment, bit less robust which is expected as it costs about 1/3 of the original. Let's see how durable it is as original lasted 20 yrs....which I do not think this replacement will last that long. But it only takes ~10 minutes to change, so worth it.

UPDATE - Feb 18 2022 Well, I'll be probably ordering more of these soon. Just as I said in this review, it doesn't cost much to replace these and the actual job of replacing them isn't terribly difficult once you know how but it can be a bit difficult if you don't know EXACTLY how the parts fit together. By that I mean that usually, if you have to replace your door handle, that means the other one probably broke off and you might not be able to see how it was put together in the first place so you will need to find the instructions online somewhere or just guess. The problem I keep having is every time I replace them, they last just long enough to where I forget exactly how I put it in last time. I just finished replacing another one of them about half an hour ago and found myself fighting with it for about 25 minutes because I had forgotten how it's done. Once you figure it out, it takes about 5 minutes or less. Bottom line? If you have one of these cars and you're planning on keeping it, you might as well buy a bunch of these because THEY WILL keep breaking and you can be sure if you don't have at least one extra for each door onhand at all times, one of them will break exactly when it's the worst possible time for it.END UPDATEORIGINAL REVIEWHave had to replace a bunch of these over the years in our 01 Corolla. It's annoying to keep having to do it but the original Corolla design just stinks. A critical part made of 100% plastic that gets used every single time you open the door? No! That's not a design flaw! Yeah. I think these are probably not as good quality as the original one was (which was still flimsy enough to where it broke with little provocation after about 15 years). I have a family member who has a habit of trying to open the door as soon as the car stops rolling. Which doesn't bode well for plastic door handles that don't open doors that are still locked when people are yanking on them trying to open locked doors. Yeah. This is probably the 5th time in the last few years I've had to replace one or the other of these things due to that. But I think the plastic does get brittle faster than it probably should (because the plastic they're made of probably isn't as good as the original plastic). Anyway, yeah. The only part of this thing that is metal is the spring. Buy these if you need them but buy extras because you'll need them eventually. The price is right and they're easy to install once you get the hang of it. Probably common sense but the ones for the driver and passenger side are different so you need one for each and extras for each because they often break unexpectedly (just like the original did). I'm not sure why Toyota has such a good reputation considering everything on the interior of this car was made as cheaply as possible and most of it has started falling apart. Just things that don't happen on other cars. Like the headliner is falling down in the back. I haven't seen that happen on many newer cars but almost every Corolla I see of that year model has a headliner that's falling down in exactly the same spot..
