We use this often when the kit contains oak chips.

I use my FastFerment conical fermenter for pulp fermentations, and this allows me to have a very coarse initial filter after racking from the fermenting vat.

I just got this thing so I am currently dry hopping for the first time. This is so much easier than a hop sock. It fits perfectly under the lid and extends to the bottom of the 7g unit. Seems to be well built.

This is one of the most elegant and finely meshed Hops filters I have had the pleasure of using. Far superior to the traditional nylon bags provided with many beer and wine kits, this allows for a large circulation of liquid over the ingredients without clumping. It also allows for effective post fermentation seasoning without the nee for messy removal prior to bottling - a major advantage for flavor blending or back sweetening of various mead and beer.

This looks to be a perfect and snug fit. I still have a batch fermenting so I'll update if I have problems. The filter looks like it should work fine. I'm a little concerned by the spot welds securing the screen though. It may require some care when cleaning. My guess is that this will be much easier than cleaning out additives just floating in the fermenter. Again, I'll update if the rating needs to drop.

Using this for both dry hopping and initial filtering when racking into the fermenter. Works amazingly well. I've read a few other reviews that folks had problems with the build quality or that the top didn't seal; but I haven't experienced that. The quality is great. The top seal on the fastferment is a bit tricky to get air tight. I switched to using heavy duty plumber's tape (yellow or grey, instead of white).

Fit perfectly in the fermenter and allowed the cap to seal tightly with no leaking. Haven’t used it yet, however, I can see how it will save a lot of work when I do.

Works well, fits inside the fast ferment but I’ve noticed that if I have it in place the airlock does not bubble which leads me to believe it is preventing a 100%seal. I like that it makes it easier to dry hop and can be used as a secondary filter when filling the fermenter. I think it would bend if cleaned to hard and it already has a few small rust marks on it but it does as advertised and the price was reasonable.

If you are adding flavors or dry hopping a beer then this works great. There is nothing left over in the beer and you get a clean finish and clean up is a snap.

Fits perfectly and is very fine in the mesh, works like a charm!

This works great for soaking fruits/wood chips. When I'm done and happy with the time of infusion I can just remove it slowly as it drains. Cleans well if you have a sprayer. Worthy investment if you have a FastFerment.
