My son has been using this kit to build his own flies. Although he’s been having fun building flies, he has not caught any fish with the flies yet.

This was a gift for the husband. He absolutely loved it and thought it was a good selection of products. He is not a novice at fly tying, but he said if you are a novice, this would give you a good assortment.

I am new at flying ties, and this is a fantastic starter kit. Gives you almost everything you need to get started. I already bought some extra items but didn’t really need to. The only thing I wanted that wasn’t in there were the beads to use as a minnow head. Great kit, well worth the money.

I got more than my moneys worth and pretty quick shipping. Having said that there is not many flies I could complete with just the kit. I’d say the value is in the flashabou thread and hooks but I’m pretty happy with it

Nice assortment decent price and I seen a lot of negative reviews on the thread I’m a beginner and have no problem with the thread breaking after I adjusted the tension on the bobbin by loosening the springs a little and learned how much force you can use on winding

All and all for a kit it is not bad. The thread however is complete garbage. The thread has no strength, and is near impossible to tie a fly without breaking.
