This 24 in. x 100 ft. 27 Gauge Galvanized Hardware Cloth features a 1/8 in square mesh weave and is both lightweight and durable. This is an extremely versatile product that can be used for a number of applications, including animal containment, temporary fences, home maintenance, and craft projects.
Durable Materials
Made from 27-Gauge steel wire. Our products are galvanized AFTER it is woven, hot-dip galvanizing is the most effective way to delay the corrosion of steel materials. 1/8" hardware cloth is the standard for many pieces of equipment to either ventilate or control access.
Suitable Mesh
The holes are only 1/8" to make screened bottom boards for beehives. Bees cannot go through the 1/8" openings. It's easy to work with and will keep birds much safer than using a larger mesh or window screening.
Galvanized and Rust Proof
Double zinc-coated hardware cloth for maximum rust resistance and long life. Wider weave not too stiff, the material will conform to rolled shape as tree guards for fruit trees, 27 gauge easy to lay down and easy to cut with wire cutter/scissors
1/8 inch hardware cloth, ideal for keeping bees, make ant traps. The 1/8" Galvanized steel wire is a great size in that it is large enough to get some decent airflow through but small enough to keep out bees, wasps, and most other mid to large-sized insects.

Good product and good value. I used this so far in making jar feeders and to block inner cover entrance to prevent robbing. Looking forward to the challenge of building screened bottom boards.. This should work fine.

I purchased this product for using in my bee business. I have used this size hardware cloth for some number of years. This purchase has a good feel for my need. I will rate as a very satisfing and I would say it is OK. I will give anyone in need - purchase this is money well spent.
