Not quite dustless (when combined with the HEPA-filter vacuum), but close enough. It has excellent feel and control of sanding. I can sand very shallow fills of paint scrapes with epoxy without losing the fill.

The Festool Rotex 125 Sander is a game-changer! Its versatility, from aggressive sanding to fine finishing, makes it a dream tool for any woodworker. The dust extraction system is top-notch, keeping my workspace clean and my lungs happy. The build quality is exceptional, ensuring years of reliable use. If you're serious about woodworking, this sander is a must-have. My only advice is..don't ever use a Festool if you can't afford one! Once you try Festool, everything else just seems subpar!

As a professional floor sander/ finisher I tend to put sanders to the test. I've used DeWalt palm sanders for years, wearing out a couple yearly on average. I never saw the value in Festool but decided to try this sander. So far I'm impressed. I also bought the ETS 125 random orbital sander for finish sanding. I've only used them on a couple of jobs so far so I can't speak on their durability but I do like the action,power, and overall feel of both. I will use the rotex on stairs but have yet to do that.I have high hopes.

Price is high but buy once cry once. I wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t have a rotex now.

Our shop has been using Festool for decades. This new advanced 5" orbital sander is supreme. It is unique in having two functions: One as a traditional orbital sander for fine sanding and two as a circular sander for cutting. Festool has greatly improved its already top of the line hand tools.

The Festool Rotex 125 is my goto sander for all my small to medium sized projects. It can be used for aggressive Rotex sanding on rough wood, then for finishing on orbital mode, and then for polishing - all by changing the pads and mode of operation. It’s expensive but in my opinion well worth the price. It outperforms all the other sanders I have ever used within 50 years. This sander used with dust extraction allows virtually a dust-free working environment which is extremely important for me having lung issues

You spend nearly $600 and they no longer include the Festool 027 DM AS CT dust collection reducer??! How disappointing is this?? No way to connect it to your dust collection without it.Otherwise, it’s Festool. Enough said. It does an outstanding job!
