Worked well at the range.I didn't have room for a dedicated rail mounted catcher so this seemed like a good idea. It probably does have to be installed at the right angle and distance to make it work correctly but I guess they all do.

seems pretty well made, works ok for a few slow shots in a row,but in rapid fire it won't stay in position and blocks the ejection port and jams the gun up,I even added another strap to the rear of it still moves and blocks the port

I haven’t tested it at the range to see if anything burns through but it looks pretty good and it’s made out of a thick material so I don’t see that happening. It was easy to install just wrap around and tighten. Plus it’s cheap so that’s always a bonus.

IF you have AR15/180 class you will love this. No more hunting for expensive brass in long grass. It will not work on top ejectors, nor not likely to work on anything with an external OP rod like a M1/MINI14

Haven’t tested it out yet, but when I first opened the zipper it crumbled apart in my fingers. Hopefully rest of the bag is made better. Will update after a few rounds.

Fit well on my AR, was able to catch .223 shells without any malfunctions. Excellent price.Best part is you can leave it on the rifle and it will fold upwards nice and flat in your rifle bag/case

I had my doubts about how well this would work before purchasing. I figured it wouldn't work at all on some firearms and maybe ok on others. I was about right.I expect this would work ok on an AR more than anything else but if that's the case you might as well get a rail mounted option. This won't really work with anything using a right side reciprocating charging handle, like an SKS, and I wouldn't try it. With extra Velcro it was (barely) able to be mounted on a Chinese Type 97 bullpup but the angle of ejection resulted in too many jams. It did work well on a Swedish AG42 rifle and let me save almost all my valuable 6.5 brass which would otherwise have been launched into the distance, though the Velcro made the rear sight hard to see. This alone at least gives me a use case for this brass catcher. Your mileage will vary A LOT.I wouldn't say this is cheaply or poorly made, but it could stand being a bit more rigid. The metal frame can be easily bent (and seems intended to be to an extent for adjustment) but this also lets it go out of shape slightly when you think you have a good angle. The Velcro straps are about 50% shorter than they should be and can only really go around a barrel or thin handguard. If your rifle has a thicker receiver or god forbid is a bullpup, you need additional Velcro which I have used with minor success. You have to constantly play with it to keep it where you want it in the path of the brass ejection. The plastic mesh does melt a tiny bit sometimes so the brass gets stuck to it a small amount occasionally but this is no big deal.Overall this is not bad to experiment with at the price I paid. It might work on your rifle but don't expect wide compatibility or any miracles. It will make your shooting experience a little worse for the possible benefit of saving brass under the right conditions. Not sure how this would work on a lever action. Don't even bother trying on a bolt action, you're better off collecting the brass by hand as you work the action.

Whether you like keeping your brass for reloading or you're on a private/personal range, or just like to clean up after yourself, this is a must have. No longer having to bend down or hunt for all the brass is nice, and for reloading purposes keeping it clean of getting filled with dirt (small annoyance I know) is really nice.Very easy to install, its a velcro strap to install. It is also a big bag. I had 60 rounds of brass in it with room for more to keep shooting. Given some may not like this added weight on one side of the weapon jangling around swinging when maneuvering around shooting. I'd rather keep the range clean and not have to spend time hunting for brass at the end of the day, more time for cleaning the weapon system. It's also a pretty robust bag and frame, you wouldn't think so looking at it and seeing how it attaches, but it works well and seems like it will last a long while. The only problem is it does take up a lot of real-estate on the right side of an AR and one of the frame rails tends to encroach on the mag release button making reloading a bit challenging when running reload-fire drills.Overall it's an outstanding product you didn't think you needed. Maybe minor design improvements to help uncover the mag release button is all.

The Feyachi Shell Catcher works fine on both my Ruger 10-22 takedowns with Rail mounted Optics. Bag attaches with a simple, large wrap around velcro strap that holds a wire frame to the receiver. I should have taken a picture BEFORE I emptied it but it comfortably held the hundred rounds that I shot through it today. It did not impede the action though I have standard charging levers on both guns. I could charge the rifle through the netting or move it out of the way to charge. As I have a lower garage in my house that faces my "range" I can sit or stand in the garage and shoot out of it into a bullet trap or the backstop behind that. All and fine except that without the catch, those silly shells go everywhere. Even found them in the cat box during cleaning. Not anymore. Well, until I shoot my striker fired pistols. It's a great, inexpensive investment to save in cleanup time.

As a reloader I am absolutely in love with this. Now, I do not enjoy the modern sporting rifle platform but rather prefer a lever action. I bought this fully understanding that this was not designed for classical carbine platform but wanted to give it a try. I am more than pleasantly surprised. With the Henry Model X 45-70 it fits perfectly, even providing just enough room to operate the lever without hitting the bag. Now, this rifle has two ways of loading it because, as with many levers it has a fixed magazine tube. With the catcher installed I was thinking I was relegated to using the tube for reloading but was happy to find that the net is large enough for my hand so that without removing the catcher I am able to load and access the side-gate. I haven't tried, but do not think my hand would fit were I gloved. Overall, it exceeded my expectations which, to be honest, were rather low. I think... just possibly... with the time it saves from picking up brass out of the muck and dirt it paid for itself the first day I used it. The fact that it is 1/3 of the price of other offerings is icing on the cake. I actually am thinking of getting a couple more just so I can hand them off to rude people at the range, you know the ones that set up right next to you and make sure that every piece of brass they throw hits you. :D
