The tool would not fit between protective ‘ears’ on either side of front sight post.

This is a tough tool but it did not work in the front sight of my Bushmaster M4. That was the whole reason I bought this. It was too wide and would not fit. It did fit in my other iron sights but I already had a tool for them.
