This is easy to take off and on before paddle boarding, but impossible to take off when my masterlock is through the whole. It's the only lock I know of for paddle boards and without, I would not be able to store my paddle board anywhere.

We installed with the suggested lock. You can move the Fin Lock to the middle of the fin channel, tilt it at the center hole and pop it out. Not secure. Only looks secure. This is with the board fins off, when you stack boards for transport.

Secured my SUP on the roof top with this fin box lock and a fairly thin 3/16 cable lock to run it through the roof rack. Provides peace of mind against a snatch and grab but a pair of bolt cutters could clip the cable I think. At least it would slow down bad actors. We combined with ties down straps that have steel cables running through them and between the two it would take a determined thief. The fun box mock is a little fiddley and kind of awkward on the roof cause I’m short but it’s not hard to use…just takes a bit of practice. I would recommend.

This is genius in its simplicity. Now, when I stay at a hotel, I can leave my board locked to my roof rack out in the parking lot. No more bringing it into the room. I also don't have to worry about it when in a restaurant.

Love this product although it doesn't fit the fin boxes of all of my surfboards which is a little disappointing. I thinkthey should make a couple of 'thinner' versions that will fit into smaller fin boxes. But it works on the longboardI initially got it for and that's what matters most because that is the board I cannot store inside my car.

This is excellent for locking a Stan Up Paddleboard. Fits right in the fit slot and locks in place. One you put a padlock through the hole the FinLock is not coming out until you remove the padlock. Add a steel cable to attach the paddelboard to something immovable and you are all set.

Way overpriced for what it is but works, I had to enlarge the lock holes to fit my python cable lock

Such a great idea and fits right in the log fin box slot, can grub after sarfing without worrying about the board taking a walk.But seriously shouldn’t cost more than a few bucks. Like paying $8 for a paper clip.
