Good quick change tool post - no complaints. If you are already into machining, you probably already know that you must take the bottom block of metal with a threaded hole in it and machine it to fit your lathe as a t-nut. However, this is my first lathe and that took me by surprise. It wasn't a big deal as I have a mill - but if you don't, check out YouTube. There are some videos on how to do the whole thing in your lathe.

The blank mounting plate/ nut is rather large and required a decent amount of milling for my 14" lathe t slot but better to be more beef than flimsy. Fit and finish of the parts were good all holders fit easily.

As with most Chinese machining tools this require extra work to finish what should have been done at the factory. The locking wedges on the post were not machined completely which caused the holders to not fit. Taking it apart was easy enough and grinding the interfering material away fixed it. It was obviously known at the factory as there were signs of someone else grinding away other material. It wasn't a big deal but if you don't have tools to finish the tool post this would not work. The tool holders themselves are the usual Chinese quality. Not bad really. And 8 of them total including a knurler, boring bar holder, and parting blade holder. Everything has a light coating of oil which was easy to rub off with a rag. Way better then the old cosmolene coating from some Chinese manufacturers. This was the cheapest set of the Aloris knock off and even cheaper then "Phase 2" holders, which I suspect they are all made in the same factory. The quality is what you would expect but having to repair it before it would work earns this a low rating.
