I tried to re-wick my lamps today... What a mess! I've been doing this for 50 years, but I have never made a mess like I have with this wicking material. I never succeeded in doing my wicks, and I don' recommend this wick material. Out of four lamps, I got one of them to feed... And that was because I used a wick material that was two sizes too small. It's a great idea, but it didn't serve me!

Fibers /weaving fell apart easily at the end as placed in wick starter while loading into pattern. Made very difficult to start using. Once started, it works as described.

Fixed my oil lantern, it wouldn't stay lit with a cotton wick. With this wick it stays kit, perfect for power outages.

The lantern I rode red someone referred this wick…. Should have read the reviews more closely. This barely pulls the fuel up and is not sturdy enough

This is too thin for my dietz oil lamp. It barely goes up when I try to adjust the flame.

Works great in my oil lamp. Burns very bright & does not need to be adjusted every few minutes like other cheap quality wicks. Made with High end materials...

This "wick" did not work in my lantern. The little teeth that work to raise or lower the wick when I turn a little knob got stuck in the too loose weave and just jammed. It unravels too easily. I ended up going to the fabric store and purchasing 2 yards of something that resembles the straps on my Lands' End tote bags. It has a much tighter weave and works perfectly.
