The rods used seem on the chintzy side. The handles could use some locktite during assembly for less twisting loose. But on the whole it seems to be a durable set. I'd actually purchased it for use in my sugar shanty, where firebox temps are pretty high. It lets me reach most of the way to the back of the arch, and has held up well thus far.

I was happy that the metal was good Quality & Heavy. Not a cheap tin rod with a brush & shoval at the end :) !!

We got this for our back porch fire pit. The fire pit did come with one poking tool, but we wanted a full set like this. First, the stand for the tools is quite nice and will withstand wind and weather. We had a fire already and I was able to make use of the tools and not lose them afterwards!

The set of fireplace tools was easy to assemble, and no extra tools were needed. You simply attach the main post to the base and secure it with the top mount. The actual fireplace tools—poker, brush, and shovel—come fully assembled. However, the set feels a bit small for the price ($60+), and the description is somewhat misleading. It’s advertised as a 5-piece set, but there’s no tong, which is typically included in most sets. If you count the stand as a piece, it’s only 4 pieces, but really, it’s more accurately a 3-piece set. Despite this, the tools seem durable and would make a good starter set. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the inaccurate description.
