Wish the price hadn’t gone up but that can be said about everything. Good material and not bad to work with once it’s on the roof

I made my very first waterfall in my backyard after watching hours of YouTube videos and I settled on this product for my liner. It was a fine choice. It's sturdy and easy to work with. I was thinking that it would be hard to trim because of how thick it seemed, but it cut with no problem. I would definitely recommend.

I've bought Firestone branded EPDM liners before, for an in-ground pond. That was about 2.5-3 years ago now IIRC. I've had no issues with that yet, and I feel like I could have installed it better. Pretty much dug a big hole (7x13, 3 feet deep with integrated steps in one side) and dropped the liner in. I don't even think I used landscape fabric - and I had it.Because of that experience, I wanted to buy the same product again. I didn't need it as large this time which obviously saved a lot of money. This time around, I built a fish tank in the corner of a greenhouse. I basically framed the tank with treated 2x4s, lined the inside of the frame with ~1/2" plywood, stapled the old landscape fabric I had to the top of the frame and allowed the strips of fabric to fall down the inside of the plywood shell. Then just came back with the liner and pushed it to the bottom. I started filling it with water to form the shape, put the folds in the best places I could get them, and trimmed it up and stapled it to the top of the frame as well with the exception of the front of the frame. I wanted a window in the front, so I bought a piece of acrylic and a tube of 3m 5200. I cut the window out of the liner, making sure not to cut too far. I trimmed it until it fit the hole I cut in the plywood almost perfectly. I set the acrylic panel up over the hole, and pre-drilled several holes for screws with rubber washers. Once it was drilled, I just surrounded each of the holes with 5200, and put a bead around the whole panel, and then screwed it into the holes I drilled in the liner, plywood, and studs. I let it cure for about a week before finishing filling the tank. It sealed up perfectly, and has been in use for several weeks now.I also ran plastic bulkhead fittings through the side of the tank for the filter hoses. Those sealed up nicely as well as far as I can tell, although I guess a very slow leak wouldn't make itself apparent for months probably.

I've had a pond for many years using vinyl pond liners and finally upgraded to this EPDM rubber liner. It was only slightly clumsier to work with due to the fact that it is a much more robust product and weighs a bit more than the thin vinyl liners. I had no issues installing this liner and my fish absolutely love it (large goldfish and koi). The liner had a light dusting of some type of powder, to keep it from sticking to itself I presume, and I did contact Firestone to ask what type of powder it was and if it was fish safe. I left a message for the representative and she returned my call within 15 minutes assuring me that the powder was indeed fish safe. Just to emphasize this call, I didn't call a call center, I called someone working AT the manufacturing facility and she returned my call. I consider that to be customer service above and beyond. Will definitely buy this product again if I manage to break this one.

The pond has been in place now for a couple of years. I built a 4' X 8' pond box with a bottom that slopes from 36" to 52". I drained and power washed the liner recently. Upon close inspection the liner is in excellent condition. I was concerned with some of the folds I had to do to get it to fit into the area I put it in. I felt that there would be some stretching stress where the sides meet the bottom in a couple of the corners. There is no deterioration of the liner that I could observe. The part that is above the water line and exposed to the sun is still flexible. No deterioration observed. Unlike some pond liners I have used this seems to be holding up. Only 18 more years on the warranty...

This has been an excellent product for me. It's reasonably priced and very heavy duty. I have a small pond, yet this size went on fairly easilty and I was able to cut off the excess (about 20%) without too much effort. So far it's solid. First time I've used a rubber liner, but this looks like it will last forever, as long as I don't step on it too much. The critters in my neighborhood have sharp claws, but I give this liner a fighting chance.

I feel confident that my pond will not loose water ever, this liner more than meets the needs of water contaiment for it's life. The size was big for what my pond needed in the end, 2 1/2 by 8 by 3 and I bought upon recommendation 10 by 15 but just cut it to size. So happy with it. Put felt type liner under it. Really thick. I need new tires for my car and wish I could transform the extra! Instead I will donate it to Build It Green, a local building surplus non profit store.
