I don't fish, but I do travel and with the fees for luggage over a certain weight on some airlines, this is great to have on hand for weighing luggage. It's very straightforward and I love that it comes with batteries. It's a great value for the price. The quality is very good and the accuracy is right on.

To weigh luggage and other bulky items at home I've always weighed myself on a standard scale, then picked up some luggage and determined the difference. While that worked, it was clearly less than ideal, and a scale like this has been something I've needed to pick up for some time.Pros:+ Easy to use, with a handy clamping mechanism.+ Compact and easy to store.+ Very accurate results.+ Fairly competitive pricing.Cons:- You need to use a screwdriver to replace the batteries, which is a minor hassle, but worth noting.- A larger hook would have been nice. I sometimes use a large carabiner on the thing I'm weighing and hook to that.Overall, it works as advertised with excellent accuracy and for a good price. Honestly any of my complaints are nit picking, and I'd recommend this without reservation.

I suppose you could imagine all sorts of great uses for this beyond having some evidence that that fish really was THAT big! But for me, I always have anxiety around flying because my wife and kids seem incapable of traveling with bags that aren't stuffed to the point of bursting.There is a challenge, though: to get an accurate reading you need to hold the scale steady until it's able to lock in the weight... and that's not necessarily easy with a 50lb bag. However, there are tricks... like stand on a chair with your arm straight and steady, rather than holding it up with bent arms. Let somebody else tell you when the weight is locked in and once that's done you can put the thing you're weighing down and read the number easily.The scale reads weight in three units: lb, oz, and kg. It's relatively small and therefore easy to take with you for the return trip because you know the wife and kids are buying stuff on the trip too! It's also nice that the hook snaps onto the back of the scale so it's unlikely to get caught.Overall, I'm very pleased with this scale. It does appear to be accurate too.

I loved the price point of this scale. It’s straightforward, and easy to use. I appreciate that they included the batteries. That was a nice little bonus. It’s compact, so it’s easy to take along on your fishing trips, if that’s your intended purpose. The scales were pretty accurate, and is a good enough quality. Served my purpose for going fishing with my brother. It’s functional, and my only very slight complaint is I wish it came with another larger hook.

Got this scale to replace a similar one that was starting to go on me. This one has a decent handle that you can hang from if needed. but with all cheap scales like this, the hook is almost useless for any fish of size. I try to handle my fish as least as possible if releasing, so I have a cradle that hooks on and works just fine. For the price, its a good kit.

I got this primarily to weigh things at work but I've held off on my review to actually go fishing. Well, turns out I'm really bad at actually going fishing.I like this scale. We use it to weigh random objects or to hook onto something and pull until it moves/breaks/whatever. This scale is great for that because of the digital readout that updates frequently enough as long as you don't go too fast.I did pull on it up to 90lbs but was unable to take a picture, but it seems like the 110 lb limit is true, however I don't have any way to confirm accuracy. I'm sure it's "good enough". The build quality feels solid, I really like the handle and the big buttons. The screen is nice and bright and easily readable.

Tested the scale using a 5lbs weight. Scale read in consistently at 5.1 so close enough for getting weights on fish. It stayed consistently within .2 pounds of my SPRO scales on weighing other various objects.The display is large and easy to read. Set up is very simple and straight forward. I would have preferred a grip verses the metal hook for attaching the fish. The included grip isn't really set up to hook to the scale, though some work with a Dremel tool could change that. Speaking of the grips, the do not feel as strong/sturdy as others that I have on hand; but should be ok for most freshwater species, especially bass. Don’t know that I would want to try handling a monster cat or striper with them though. Will just have to wait and see when that time comes.Overall, a good scale at a fair price.

The scale is accurate, and although it's amazing that it weighs up to over 100 lbs, good luck using it for a 100 lb fish if you're not a body builder!The gripper is strong and sturdy, and a useful tool to have around even if you aren't using the scale.The only downside is that they take up a lot of space in the tackle bag. Maybe we need a larger one, but for now they're making out pocket space.These are easy to use and I think a good value if you have the space.
