This is a good value on a bulk pack of cable leader circle bait hooks. I use these for ocean fishing off the jetty or my kayak since a lot of what I'm after can sometimes be toothy. So far these have hauled up sever rockfish and a cod!

I like these, they're well made hold with solid leads. The connection points are well done and definitely not going to come apart. The hook and lead wire are durable and will definitely out last your fish and/or your line. The hooks are a good size for general fishing of medium sized fish. The barbs and overall hook design is consistent and the leads are easy to tie on to. I'd say I'd buy these again but these will definitely last me and the kid for quite awhile!

Nice polished stainless hooks with leaders. One of the fun things about surf fishing is that you never know what you might catch. These circle hooks work great to hold the bait and give a positive set. The shape also helps with hook removal with minimal injury if you need to release your catch. The stainless leader lets you fish with confidence that your catch will not cut the line.

Fishing Catfish Circle Hooks Rig, 50pcs Fishing Leader Hooks for Catfish, Bass, Saltwater, Offset...Yes! These are good hooks, leader, and swivel, appropriate for fishing large baits to target your bigger species. Here, in Middle Tennessee, we're blessed with outstanding trophy catfishing waters. From Blues, to Flatheads and even Channel cats, enough to keep you very busy hunting down the elusive fat cats.I ordered size 10/0 (10-Aught) hooks, the largest they have for this item. Offset Octopus Circle Hooks. They are OFFSET (means the point is twisted away from shank after the bend, which supposedly provides a better hookup opportunity)OCTOPUS (which simply means the EYE is bent instead of straight off the shaft), and most importantCIRCLE hook (so that the actual point aims back to the shaft, which is preferred for Catfishing since 1. better unattended self-setting of the hook 2. less damage to the fish since we're always releasing the big ones back into the water. Circle hooks, by design usually don't hook in the gut/stomach, but rather, on the way out of the fishes mouth, snags itself automatically in the lip area--producing a very good hook up in the strong LIP material of the fish.Great steel coated leaders, appear to be about 100# strength, nicely crimped onto the hook on one end, and then to a 2-way swivel on the other end. I usually use a better quality bearing swivel, but these are adequate, probably in the 80-100# rating range.I will likely snap some of these off the leaders to put directly onto longer 30# monofilament hook leaders. These leaders are a bit short for Catfishing uses. But we'll see. Lotsa options. Hooks like these typically run about $1 per hook at the retail level. I go through several hooks a month, losing them in snags etc., So, a 50 pack should last a while. What size to get? The hook size you choose should MATCH the BAIT that you're using--not necessarily the size of the FISH you want to catch. My preferred bait for chasing the biggest of catfish will be about a 1/2 of an entire skipjack. For any sized bait, once you put your hook into it, you want to make sure you have PLENTY of hook point exposed, not buried into the bait. So, if using big baits, use big hooks. If you use smaller baits, like say chunks of bluegill or shads, you'll want to drop to a smaller hook. 10/0 is a giant sized hook and as big as I'll ever use in freshwater. I do more routinely use 5/0 or 6/0 hooks.
