Bought this after mine stopped working. I had a version 1 on my Parker Nitefly-M and was a little skeptical of this to work on it (connections are a little different). After reading the setup instructions, I was able to easily solder the right cables to the right points and it's working fine since. The piezo on my Parker works like new now!

As designed, this perfectly balanced the output of my Fishman Piezo bridge with my vintage Seymor Duncan neck pickup and Joe Bardan bridge pickup! It sounds awesome

I ordered this thinking it would be a Fishman Powerchip however I struggled to solder any connections to the empty cardboard box that arrived.Shipping was fast though. 5 days via FedEx to UK.

I love this knob. I didn't want to spend this much money but man is it worth it. You can use it two ways. 1. Stereo 1/4 inch cable with splitter at the end. Tip is Piezo, ring is pickups. 2. Standard mono 1/4 inch. Powerbridge then will blend in the piezo. The wiring diagram has a third option where you can mount a switch (not included) that can turn on and off the piezo. I didn't want to mod my Les Paul style guitar so I just went with the first two. You can always turn it off with a pedal. I did have to shave off some of the plastic from the 1/4 jack that replaces the guitar's jack to get it to fit in the hole using a dremel and a sanding drum.I absolutely love mixing in the piezo bridge (I bought that from another supplier) -- gives a very unique bright sound to your normal pickups, or turn off the pickups and go with the acoustic sound -- not going to replace your Martin, but does sound pretty good, better than some real acoustics.

There are two versions, one with a short shaft (as pictured, PRO-PCH-001) and one with a long shaft, suitable for installation in a Les Paul (PRO-PCH-002). Make sure you get the right one. Too soon to know if there are battery issues. It has a negative effect on the sound of the magnetic pickups, which I may be able to tweak away with time.

I bought this product because I wanted to have an active piezo system on my telecaster project guitar. I recommend getting the latest manual from the fishman product website. I bought a three position switch from radio shack which lets me choose between magnetic pickups only, mixing the piezo and magnetic pickups and just the piezo pickups. You'll have to buy a knob of your choice as none is included. The instructions are clear and easy to follow but you'll obviously have to have a comfort level with a soldering iron in order to install this or take it to professional for installation. The tone that you'll get is a bright and crisp acoustic-ish tone that I absolutely love. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to get some additional versatility from their guitar.

I have other guitars with Fishman products and feel that you can't find a better product for the money. I'm building a telecaster with a Fishman Powerbridge and this Powerchip is the product they recommend to get the best use out of it. It does appear to be a bit challenging to make sure I get the electronics exactly right, but I'm also wiring the pickups and switches more complex than your standard telecaster. I'm looking forward to playing the telecaster with an acoustic sound, then switching over to normal tele pickups .

Works as advised! My luthier's suggestion was to set the internal volume on the MAXIMUM and set the right amount live because on a Clean Guitar Sound blend will sound much higher but as soon as you start to go crazy with your guitar rig you will feel the need to a little boost on the Piezo sound and I have since mine was set on the Maximum. The downside is that this is a Battery Eater! KEEP IT UNPLUGGED AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT PLAYING!!!Even if I unplug on the breaks it lasts for about 6 hours playing in my calculations. I'm looking now for a solution such as buying a 1Spot adapter for 9V AC Adapter and I'll start to use it at home practicing and on gigs that I'll play seated. (as long as this don't add noise and hum on the sound!)
