I found this item through the Amazon Vine program to test and since I wanted to add this as a exercise to my home gym workout plan decided to order it to test. When the item arrived I was please to see clear directions on the carboard insert inside the packaging on what reps and how to use it properly.Once removed, the item was made of heavy duty plastic and the tension spring was heavy duty as well. The dial for adjusting the force was easy to adjust and seemed fairly precise. The force marking were in kilograms lacking the force in pounds which the vendor should look into as it is a good opportunity for them to improve the item. Further as shown in the picture posted the makings were already coming off once removed from the packaging. The only way to prevent this is to put a clear piece of tape over them. Another thing the vendor should improve on.Function wise the item performed as it should following the directions. I must admit I have a fairly strong hand grip but this item put my strength to the test to the point I could not do anymore.Bottom Line is this item works as it should other than the two things I pointed out.

Great hand workout. I use this to keep my hands conditioned for playing guitar and it works well. It's a much better feel in this design than the clampy type exercisers. This sits very comfortably and tension is set easily with the spin of simple dial. The non-slip grip is soft and provides a very comfortable feel and this is where you really feel the difference. Very well made, easy to use, operate and handle. I am 100% satisfied with this and recommend to anyone.

Impressed with the how many ways to hold this. Unfortunately, it did not come with instructions on how to adjust the tension. It's on the product listing, but not the box.....which I just noticed as I was writing this review. Hey, it's my first time trying one of these things! So maybe if you are used to using a gripper thingy, this one is for you. Very durable - dropped it on the floor more than a few times, but you'd never know it. I usually use it when reading for class, when I only need one hand to turn pages, and I think my grip has become stronger. Now to go play with the tension spring.....

I have high blood pressure, and I've read that hand exercise can help with that. I've tried a number of grips here from Amazon, and while I've liked them all in some regards, I've never stuck with consistently using them. All but one of the other grips I've tried are a "nutcracker" style (the one grip is an electronic measuring unit). Those grips definitely work, but the legs of the "nutcracker" style just don't feel comfortable in the hand.I find the shape of this grip much more ergonomic, and because of that I use this grip almost daily (daily use is a goal)Using this grip is also markedly easier than others. A couple of the nutcracker style grips I have utilize sliding legs to set the resistance. Trouble is, both grips have loose legs now so I can't use them consistently.Since this grip utilizes an adjustable spring pivot, you'll always get a consistent resistance when you use it. Just twist the knob, which has a "+" and "-" on it's face, indicating increasing or decreasing resistance, respectively. So, while I'm very satisfied with this grip, I do have a concern about it's construction: It's largely made of plastic.Yes, the plastic is pretty solid and durable, but plastic is going to mechanically creep and fail markedly faster than other materials, so I wonder how long this grip will last, given that it's always under some form of tension. I very much hope to be proven wrong, that this grip lasts decades without failure. Time will tell!
Truth. No Mercy.

Ordering a grip strength trainer was on my list of things to get from some time ago. However, I had envisioned getting one (or a set) made entirely of metal. So, finding this was a wonderful surprise. It may be made of mostly plastic, but it feels sturdy, is easy to grip, and simple to use. I'd never think of getting a bright green grip strengthener, but I honestly loved the color after seeing it in person. The adjustable resistance function works great on this, and I appreciate a lot. It helps a lot with training when having the option to change resistance whenever desired (since we all have different levels to start from).I can say outright that I've been training on/off using calisthenics, and I'm comfortable doing chin-ups, and push-ups. I'm also comfortable with free weights, so using this was interestingly new. I can feel the challenge (and differences) when using this at 60-132lbs. The manufacturer did a solid job designing this to provide the resistance needed, but make it ergonomic as well. I highly recommend this grip strength trainer. The price point is unbeatable, and it can be used by just about anyone w/functioning hands.

This grip strengthener operates as advertised, but only giving three stars at itโ€™s missing an important feature, which is a rep counter. There are an abundance of grip strengtheners on Amazon, not sure why youโ€™d choose one without the rep counter when there are so many other ones which have one.

Ahhh. Exercise. The pinnacle of health...And healthy eating, actually. But in this case we're reviewing an exercise accessory, not one of my personal culinary concoctions which my wife reveres. Another thing she reveres is my forearms. They are exquisite, however over time they have faded from their former grandeur. She takes care of herself, and I must do the same to complement her beauty with brawn. And some gourmet.I already have a forearm strengthener but it's not as versatile. For you see, this FitBeast is adjustable. It allows you to calibrate the resistance to simulate a weight between 5 kg (10 lbs.) and 60 kg (132 lbs.) I can't verify the precision of these marketing weights but I'm confident they are fairly close, with the minimum 10 lbs. feeble enough to work with my pinky finger and the 132 lbs. requiring subtle application of my Pontiac Firebirds V8 torque to squeeze handle to handle. What? I'm not using muscle enhancing toxins to gain and retain strength or muscle mass. I don't want to end up resembling a form most unnatural. Just vigorous and alluring. So what do we have here? A simple grip/forearm strengthening device. Well, maybe not so simple. As mentioned before this model is adjustable. To complicate things further it looks like a garden hose attachment at first glance so you should perform a double take. Once you're certain of the inventions purpose you can acquire it should you so wish following this review. The garden hose attachment, I mean...the grip strengthener has a barrel. At the front is the adjustment dial which resembles a water flow nozzle ready to release a deluge of...well, water. You're not getting Mountain Dew out of such contraptions and if you do...RIP garden...and internal organs. Then there are the pair of grips which together, once more, perfectly mimic a garden hose attachment hand grip and release trigger. Uncanny. I'll bet FitBeast lives a double life as GardenBeast on Amazon. The design and engineering teams just innovate based on each others preferred artistic style. Sorry, I get distracted, easily. At the top of the strengthener is where they separate the white from the rice. A stylish u-flange adorns the barrel with a tightly coiled spring attached to the flange and the trim screw located inside the barrel.Operation. Applying simple physics by turning the adjustment dial clockwise or counter-clockwise the operator can increase or decrease the resistance, thus regulating required strength and subsequent exercise results. This is a handy feature as it requires a single strengthener for varying operations including routine strength discipline or rehabilitation during which muscle memory must be adumbrated. Once the appropriate settings have been set and testing confirms adequacy, maintain your grip on the device and squeeze your hand until your lactic acid buildup prevents further forearm exertion and a cyclic break is in order. Switch hands and repeat operation until the same result manifests. Not much wrong, here. Additionally, my green device is accompanied by some exercise tips in case I didn't know how to search for such advocacy. A little bit of facetious sarcasm but it's always worthwhile to print something worthwhile on an advertising placard which inevitably gets thrown away as soon as it changes hands. The gripping handles could be better designed as you'll find your fingers slipping off their perch more often than with the older, traditional strengthener designs. A minor fault but a fault nonetheless. Otherwise the innovative approach providing the ability to adjust resistance overshadows this careless oversight of omitting palm and finger grooving to reinforce grip and prevent inadvertent shift.I recommend this product. Some minor issues but what doesn't have these faulty designs purposely built in? Even beds are uncomfortable, as are awkward gazes.Enjoy.

I've had tendonitis for the past 20 years roughly at this point and I've tried various exercises and stuff for it. My doctor recommended a stress ball to help strengthen the muscles around my tendons for support but I find the stress balls to be awkward to hold and makes it painful to use because of that. This has been a much better choice to help improve my grip strength and tighten up the muscles around the tendons in my arms. There's a knob that allows you to adjust the tension so it can be really easy to grip or really hard. If you have damaged tendons, I suggest starting it on the lower settings to help build yourself up to the higher settings. I have personally come to notice that my grip in my left hand which doesn't have tendonitis is considerably stronger compared to my right hand so I have to halve the overall tension whenever I use this to exercise my right hand. The adjustment to the weight resistance is easy to set, it's literally just the turn of a knob and it adjusts the spring outward or inward. One of the best features about this is the fact that it has that curved handle that fits around your fingers better and makes it a lot more comfortable and easy to use. I think that's the big benefit with this over a typical stress ball if you have tendonitis. With a stress ball your hand is in the shape of the ball and it's not is easy to make the grip because your hand is not setting uniform. With this however, it is in the shape of your natural hand grip which makes it a lot less strenuous on your wrist in particular. It's still hard to do and hurts because tendonitis sucks like that, but it's considerably less painful compared to squeezing on a stress ball.If you need something to exercise your hand if you have something along lines of tendonitis or potentially even carpal tunnel, this is a solid option. I would maybe suggest talking to your doctor first to see if they think something like this is a good option but from my personal experience with tendonitis specifically, it has been helping build up my grip and keeping the tendons stretched a little better. I highly recommend it.
