Overall, appears to be a decent product. Unfortunately, there was a defect where it appears the line was nicked by a hot knife during manufacture. The line was frayed and had signs of melted nylon affecting its structural integrity. Also, the line is soft with very fine fibers. I suspect it may be susceptible to chafing. Return process was easy.

I have not tested the rope; however, after receiving the 5/8" 200' spool I was disappointed with the feel of the rope. I purchased the product because the description said it was 100% nylon. I've lived on boats for a decade, purchased many hundreds of feet of rope and this product does not inspire my confidence. I'll cut and splice it in 25' sections to use as dock lines, I will never depend on it as a primary anchor line.

I make custom dock lines for my boat and others in the marina. So far, it is easy to work with and reasonably priced.

I took this anchor line to my local rig shop to splice the line onto my anchor chain and they told me the line was inferior and I should have used a better line. I am now ordering another brand of line and discarding the Five Oceans Anchor Line and was sorry I purchased it.

During COVID we spent a lot of time boating and fishing. During one trip we randomly watched our anchor line float behind us. It was suddenly sheered off and we ended up free floating. We had to make do with what we could find at the time but it was not appropriate to the task. My original was only a 3/8" line so I thought that may have been a little too small. I was looking for something larger. This rope became available and I requested it. My first response was OMG this rope is HUGE! This braided rope is massive for my little Tracker Bass Boat, with reinforced eyelets I do not think this one is going to be randomly sheared. Obviously our boat is not huge or massive, but to me this product is outstanding and exactly as expected and beyond.I expect this to outlast my boat and provide the comfort of knowing it won’t be cut easily. PROS:- Thick braided rope with reinforced eyelets.- Long CONS:- None

Any boater knows that one of the most important safety items on a boat is the anchor. You need a good, strong anchor and anchor line to keep yourself and your boat out of all kinds of calamity. It's also important to have rope that is easy to handle, one that rolls and unrolls easily. The material and weave of this rope makes it as tangle free as a rope can be, and very easy to roll and stow. This 5/8 inch nylon anchor line is extra stout. It comes with a robust stainless steel rope thimble braided in, and a sturdy stainless steel shackle. this is very important to keep the chain leader from your anchor securely attached to the line. The price, $119.99 as I'm writing this review, may seem high to someone who has never got their boat out of trouble with the anchor, but I feel like it is a fair price for a really good piece of marine equipment.
