The first thing I would like to point out is the great customer service from Aplus Water LLC. The softener itself is extremely easy to install and program. I had to call this company twice to clear some doubts I had and both times the representatives were extremely knowledgeable and eager to help. I would recommend the product and company without any hesitation.

Fleck WS48-56SXT AFW Filters 5600SXT 48k with 1" Bypass Best Selling Softener Digital SXT MeteredWhere we live, the water is much less than perfect. For as long as I can remember, we've had some kind of water softener to keep the water as clean as possible. I bought this particular water softener for a couple of reasons – It's a digital head, which seems like it wouldn't have the longevity that a mechanical one does, but it is infinitely easier to program and use. also, this one is a metered softener – it measures how much water you use and triggers the cycle proportionately. That way you're not set on a particular day to cycle the water softener, but by how much water you are actually using. I believe this will save a tremendous amount of salt, just by the simple virtue of not cycling if you don't really need to clean the filter media. this one was a little bigger than my old one, so we did have to do a little bit of modification to my existing plumbing setup. Since I live in a rural area, I don't have an actual garage – this sets up against the house. I buried the tank and the salt receptacle a couple of feet in the ground, which gives them extra stability; and when you're filling the salt tank you don't have to lift the heavy bags quite so high. My only complaint about this water softener is that the seller offered a flash drive with installation instructions and manuals on it. While we did receive a flash drive with our insulation kit, it only had one document on it, how to program the digital control head. It wasn't extremely difficult to find the specific install manuals online and download them, just a minor inconvenience. I've had this installed for several weeks now, and our water is better than it's ever been. If you need a water softener, Fleck is definitely the way to go.
