They do look nice and the pocket is nice to have as well. What I like most is the comfort and fit of these shorts while running. They wash really well and seem like they will last a long time. The elastic is great and the stretch and compression are perfect for an active lifestyle. Highly recommend these shorts.

I don't know where all these good reviews come from I ordered the extra large and they wouldn't fit at all. Look like possibly I got a mislabeled pair??- because they appeared to be small or medium at the absolute largest.

These are not like any other shorts I've owned. As compression shorts, they're good. Well designed so as to be tight in the right areas and not too tight in the areas where it could cause serious discomfort, if you know what I mean.But where these really stand out is in their utility. You no longer need to wear a separate running belt to carry your personal items, including large phones, because Flipbelt has basically integrated the product that they're named for into the shorts themselves. Around the waist in both front and back is a mesh pocket, which is large enough for most smart phones, but can also be used for electrolyte chews, gels, etc.They also included a small zipper pocket which is perfect for things like your ID, your car's keyfob, your earbud case, and other smaller items that you want to keep more secure.On each leg is a larger pocket, which could also be used for large phones that won't fit into the waist pocket. The leg pockets are large enough to hold a standard 12 ounce water bottle.The material is high quality and sturdy feeling, which is reflected in the price.These shorts even include a drawstring around the waist, which I've never seen in compression shorts before. I don't find it necessary to use the drawstring, since they're plenty tight, but some guys may.Bottom line: these are high quality compression shorts, with excellent features that aren't found on other shorts. They're sort of like the swiss army knife of compression shorts. Yes, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for.

These shorts are well made and provide good storage of car keys, phone, etc. without all the jiggling. Wish they had more colors, but overall, I'm very happy with these. When I run with these, I feel like my performance is better as there is no flapping of stuff in pockets.Word or warning, though: if running with a dog on a running leash (as in, leash is around the human's waist), the leash can force the air-bud headphone case out of the belt pockets, which is problematic for a white headphone case when running in the snow).

These are essentially a shorts version of high waisted (that's a good thing) leggings for men, plus the signature flipbelt waist pockets. I say it's a good thing to be high waisted because it has a wide softer waistband which keeps it from digging in and creating a muffintop in the slimmest of men like the unfortunately common "men's" leggings design. We need more of these designs that aren't labelled as "women's"!The fit was perfect. I'm 6 feet tall, 158 pounds, slim athletic build, 29 inch waist, but I wear 30 inch waist pants. I got the small, and it fits wonderfully! It's snug, as it should be, more snug than most leggings, being that it is a compression type. For the men, it does have a defined pouch front (I do prefer the kind that aren't surrounded by seams on either side, but it still looks good). It's not loose, so it contains, it's comfortable, but it doesn't show the details. It would be fine without shorts over it, or work well under shorts.The flipbelt pockets are secure, though consider the size. I would put my keys or my license and credit card in them. If I used goo packs, they'd fit perfectly, easy to access, but secure. They are surprisingly roomy, but a galaxy s23 ultra will not fit in the waist, it fits in the thigh. Well... it will fit in the back pocket, but it looks weird because it's huge. Put it in the thigh pocket. The thigh pockets are the same size as any other leggings I've had, which is a good standard. The waist pockets have nice little tabs to make pulling them open easier.It has a drawstring, which may be useful to some. It fits me well enough that it's not going anywhere, though.I got the orange for a splash of color since I intend to wear them under shorts that don't have a good place for my phone. The color is bright and vibrant, I love it!Highly recommended!
