USED OTHERS, WHICH I HAD TO CHANGE THE BATTERY AFTER A COUPLE OF YEARS I HAVE NOT HAD THIS BRAND SO NOT SURE, THESE ARE ONLY THREE YEAR BATTERY LIFE CAN NOT BE CHANGED OUT. YOU GET A 2 PACK FOR MONEY. I CHECKED IN THE SINK ALARM IS LOUD FOR ME I AM VERY SENSITIVE TO NOISE SO WORKS WELL.

The alarm is louder than I thought so it worked- it’s about as loud as a smoke detector but a different tone.

I bought this for something other than a toilet, so keep that in mind when you read. I put it inside my kayak so I would know when I had a leak. First, you cannot hear it inside the kayak - even though it is inches from your hip. Second, it is not waterproof. Once it got wet, it went into a permanent “beep” mode - even though I dried it. That eventually killed the battery which I could not replace. So, it is kind of a one time use.

Honestly, these are perfect for basements. They run off a battery, so they don't need to be near an outlet, and they're not smart, so you don't need an app. They scream when the sensors in the bottom touch water, and stop screaming when they're removed from the water. Very simple, very effective, VERY LOUD.We keep two around our sump pump. It died, and we learned of this VERY quickly when the screamers started screaming. I'll always keep them around that part of the basement.(These are also good to have around/under fish tanks, for all you fish keepers out there!)
