These dowels are exactly what you would expect. They can be used in various ways. I use them to fix shelves that are starting to come apart. Also i use them to hold the actual shelves themselves. You can use them in any way you can imagine.

I needed a bunch of hardwood dowels in order to rehang the hinges of the doors throughout my house, and these did the job great. It does include the full 100 (unless you lose some; more on that in a moment), and there were only a couple that I was a bit iffy on. The rest of them looked and felt great, and I was able to glue them into my doorframe and then screw into them with no problems and no give. As far as the dowels themselves go, this is great.The packaging leaves something to be desired, though. These are packaged in a really cheap plastic case that is clearly meant to only support a single layer of dowels. If any stack on top of another, then it begins to bow out, and this causes the case to open up. By the time it reached my home, nearly a third of the dowels were outside of their case. Luckily, this was shipped in a fairly small padded envelope, but if this had been included in a larger shipment, it would have been an absolute mess. I feel this could have easily been resolved if they shrink wrapped it.Long story short, this is good if you can use most of the dowels right away, or are planning on moving them to a different container.

These are really good quality dowels and for the price are a really good value. You don't really like to think about the quality of dowels and how they might compromise a fitting, and these will ensure you won't do that. They seem to have really checked that there are no voids or flawed pieces, and the grooves go all the way down and are very even. They came in a large flat plastic flip top case.

Exactly as expected. The dowel pins come in a nice plastic case making it easy to see the contents. The pins are fluted and grooved making for easier insertion and allowing a nice pinched fit. The grooves also allow space for wood glue to strengthen the bond if desired. Very happy with the consistency of the length and width.

There's not a lot to say about wood dowel pins but these are true to size - they fit nicely into a 3/8" drilled hole, not too loose and not too tight - and the 1-1/2" length is perfect for most joining work. The fluting reduces the pressure required to insert into the hole and gives the glue more surface area for a good grip. All the pins appear to be uniformly round and with no visible defects.

These are great fluted dowels. I prefer these to the spiral cut for edge grain wood joining because of the glue spread. These are properly sized and not splitting like some.Great quality and a good price nowadays.
