Matters Needing Attention:
- A 'charge error' or 'no battery' message may appear on some radios after a charge cycle is complete. Just because the aftermarket FNB-80Li battery with the chips may not be fully identified by VX-5/R or VX-6/R or VX-7/R radio. But it can be charged normally by your charger and work fine with your radio.

Worked as advertised, Charged with no problems.Left unit on for over 8 hours with no issues during monitoring of various frequencies to drain the battery.No Major Issues, Great value for the price.It is a tight fit in the VX700 but no a major issue.

I would guess others had good luck with this battery. My battery was defective it would not charge, it was of course the radio, the charger everything but the battery. The battery would not charge, I have over 35 years of electronic repair, and experience with batteries and radios. I checked it and it did not charge, and it was not mentioned in the advertisement that the battery may cause a charging error, or no battery installed so be aware of that before you purchase. A battery Designed for a radio should not cause "charging error" or "battery not installed". I get this is a battery designed to fit in several radios still if it says it will work with your model of radio it should work and work flawlessly without causing any such errors or battery not installed messages. It should also work with the Factory charger being they were shipped with the radio. I just marked this experience off as bad because for me it was exactly that. You may have better luck so that being said, good luck. I wanted to add that after reviewing the battery I received a refund I did not ask for, that is fair. Again, better luck if you decide to use this battery.

The battery fitted my Yaesu HT just right. After an over-night charge, the HT is back in operation.

Using the Yaesu charger the battery accepted the initial charge without issue. Have only cycled the battery a couple times but so far so good. It does fit in my VX-7R albeit a bit tight.

Out of the box, this battery does not fit my YAESU VX-6R. Something is about 1-2 mm too thick to prevent the latch from closing properly. After some research, I learn that if I remove its seal ring and trim the 2 plastic tabs, it would fit easily. However, these modifications compromise the weatherproof feature of the radio. Once it fits in, the battery works fine with my YAESU charger.

Fit is a bit tight but functional. Battery charged and finished with a charging error but came to full capacity. I'm satisfied with this product.
