ONLY reason I rated these sticks at a 3 is they are not really soft sticks. I like that the sticks are firm. They don't flop around.However, not much difference between getting hit with these and my unpadded rattan Stix. Especially in the head or fingers.Carry bag is a standard nylon bag.

padding is not as durable as I had hoped, within 5 minutes of my son and I beating on each other, there were tear and split marks. the ends could use more padding, both of us got nailed pretty good with the ends. otherwise, lots fun to practice with.

These foam padded escrima sticks are AWESOME!! They exceeded my expectations. They are perfect of practice. They are so good my wife wants to take up escrima...and I am so thrilled!!! Highly recommended.

Sturdy enough to take a beating, but shouldn't be used for heavy contact/free sparring (not strong enough for repeated heavy strikes, the padding will give way and rip). Firm but lightweight, perfect for technical sparring with light to medium contact. Impact is heavy enough to register a strike...be careful striking hands and forearms as it has enough weight to really zing your uke if you're really going for it. The black colored ones don't have the logo etched on the side. Solid product.
