I ordered four units and they all were working good. After a few months one of the units stopped working in the mesh mode, I contacted Fodsport and they suggested a hard reset and gave me the instructions. Now the unit is working flawlessly. My only concern with the FX10C is the speakers, if Fodsport upgrades the speaker system it would be a 5 Star review.

The unit appears very good. Easy to operate, Bluetooth connected easily, clear voice over phone and music. Waterproof feature excellent. Only had a couple a weeks but cannot fault yet.

Purchased a set of two.Setting up for the first time was a bit confusing. After initial set up, works pretty good.Able to communicate for long periods of time and has an option to check battery life while in operation. The distance doesnt seem to go as far as advertised. If trail riding in decently close proximity its a good purchase. Fits easily to helmet. Is durable and easy to charge.Sound quality is good and easy to adjust. Microphone works and is clear. Hooking up to bluetooth on phone was easy. Lets me play spotify easy.Only option I seek a work around is the auto answer when connected to phone. When in the middle of a mud hole and trying to work out a strategy taking a unknown call is inconvenient..Unknown as call display on phone and phone is put away.Other than the 2 issues, was a great purchase.Gave 4 stars. The 2 issues are the misssing star.

I read some good reviews on this product so thought I would give it a go. I was immediately concerned as soon as I opened the box. One of the headsets had some dodgy looking wiring. It didn't look broken as it was mainly the outer insulation that was too short in one part leaving the very thin internal wires exposed.Fitting the devices to the helmets wasn't so difficult, just a bit fiddly and the different combinations of microphones, headphones and mounts was good.Pairing to each other (two FX8's) was simple as was pairing to the mobile phone. Haven't tried to connect to other intercoms. The sound quality is very, very 'tinny' and cheap sounding whether listening to music or voice through intercom. Not a deal breaker given the price, but it gets worse from here on.The intercom only really works when stationary!! When moving I could only manage to pick out one word in every ten or so my daughter was saying and she was sitting on the same bike as me! It's not because of wind noise, it just keeps breaking up / dropping out although my daughter told me that she could hear me so maybe there is a problem with just one of them. The radio was the same. Every several minutes it would just cut out from anywhere between 10 to 30 seconds before coming back on.The headphones are hard-wired into the mount which is a terrible idea you will have to buy a whole new mount when the wiring fails. The plug that covers the charging port is all but completely useless!! It just constantly falls out which if you ride in the rain or get caught in the rain would be a real concern.Lastly, don't be fooled by Fodsports flash website and their promises of great service. Could not be further from the truth. Good luck if you need to contact them. They may reply once or twice, then they just completely ignore any further emails.I've tried to get this working by trying different things I have read, but nothing has helped.I'd be prepared to try another set hoping mine was just a bad unit, but as of the time of writing this, I am returning them to Amazon, who, by the way made the return very simple (the return has not been fully completed yet).

So far so good. I haven't taken it on the highway much but in general day to day use it work great. It sounds greats, not to over powering that you can't hear a car horn or emergency sirens. Controls are super easy to use even with gloves on while riding. Answer, ignoring and ending calls are easy plus my voice is not distorted (I use the soft mic in a full face helmet). Voice controls are good though I have only used it a few times. You do have to use the prompt button for each command but it hasn't been an issue thus far. Right now I am just using the clip-on feature rather than sticking it right to the helmet. Seems to be holding up but again have been on the highway a whole lot yet. FM radio works just fine. No complaints. Will update if anything changes!

If you read this, you are making your fair share of research of these kinds of devices. And I wanted to buy the expensive name brands, too. Do the upgraded JBL speakers sound like real headphones? I don't know. For some reason I expected the sound quality to be on par with standard headphones. Maybe other brands are better maybe they are all the same. So if you want fantastic sound quality - then either upgrade the speakers or buy a different device. For me, the focus was on communication. I want to to talk to my wife while we are riding through the mountains. We both have our own bikes. This works great! Here are the PROS:- great range and re-connect: On open roads the range is probably close to half a mile. Behind switchbacks you'll get disconnected but it auto connects after which is a huge plus- wind noise: You pretty much don't hear anything besides the voice (or very heavy breathing). We wear full face helmets - not sure how this is for open face- battery life: We had this on a 3 day trip and never charged it (we actually forgot and it worked all day long)- waterproof: We ran into some really heavy rains and these did not show any signs of damage- Price: Let's face it - if you are looking into these, you think the name brands are too expensive- connectivity to multiple devices: I had navigation on from my phone and we were able to talk at the same time. I think you are supposed to be able to share audio with any driver but I haven't figured that outCONS:- sound quality: It's totally acceptable but sounds more like a phone call than a good bluetooth connection normally sounds like.- high speeds: while you can hear everything at speeds up to 55mph - anything above (even with a full face) and you won't be able to have a conversation - even on highest volumeFor me - the PROs far outweigh the CONs but I have also never used any other intercom!

I was intrigued by the ability to listen to music while on intercom with another rider, so I bought a pair. Upon using the product as directed, the wired connection never works. I've literally tried every combination of buttons to activate it, and it seems it's the same as the button combination that's supposed to work for the M1-S (the button combination isn't even in the FX8 manual, this took some searching). When you do switch it on (which seems to be activated by pressing Previous and Next simultaneously for roughly three seconds), all you hear is faint static. I've connected multiple devices with the wire while playing audio, and nothing comes out of headset.I thought it might be the cable, so I tested that as well, but the cable works fine between other devices. Even if I just wanted to use the wired connection without connecting to another headset, I can't even do that. All the other functions seem to work fine, but the one thing I bought it for doesn't. Huge waste of money, I'd look elsewhere if you're trying to listen to music and talk over intercom with someone at the same time. 1 star for false advertising.

This is my first helmet intercom, so I don't have anything to compare it with, but I did a lot of research before buying and the FX8 really stood out as a great value - and I must agree!Sound:The audio was a little fuzzy, but at least the volume is loud enough to hear, even when doing 70mph on a noisy motorcycle, and the person I was talking to could barely tell I was going fast.Ease of use:The set up is not very intuitive - YOU WILL NEED THE MANUAL - and luckily mine came with a copy because I can't find it online anywhere. So, I scanned a copy and shared it here. You're welcome. I had misplaced mine and tried using a youtube video to pair the intercom, but it didn't help much and I'm not sure how I actually got them to pair up. Without the manual, you'll never figure this thing out. But at least the buttons are all easy to press - even while wearing gloves - and I really like that the volume is a knob instead of a button. Also, the 2nd time I went to use it, the bluetooth auto connected to my phone and the FM radio was simple to use (once I found my manual to read)
