We unfortunately haven't hade the chance to use this on our last few pier fishing trips, but it's been nice and easy to pack up and take along. It pops open and twists closed like those windshield reflectors which is nice. The kid comes with everything you need, and the mesh is nice and small so hopefully fish wouldn't get tangled. I worry that it may be a struggle to get it down where you need it in windy conditions because of how lightweight it is, and can't speak to the durability or longevity of the item, but for the price point and the ease of tossing it in with your fishing gear this is probably a good value overall to use until you can't.

Review of the Foldable Crab and Bait NetHaving recently had the opportunity to put the Foldable Crab and Bait Net through its paces during a fishing trip, I can confidently say that this product delivers on its promises and is a fantastic addition to any angler's gear.Design and Build Quality: The first thing that struck me about this net was its solid construction. The frame, made from thick soft steel, feels incredibly sturdy and reliable, which is essential for capturing larger catches. The edges are hand-sewn with Oxford cloth, providing an extra layer of waterproofing and corrosion resistance that is crucial for saltwater environments. The quality of materials used is impressive, especially for the price point. It has held up well against wear and tear during my outings, which speaks volumes about its durability.Portability and Convenience: What I particularly love about this net is its foldable design. It easily collapses down to a manageable size and stores away in the included drawstring storage bag. This feature made it incredibly convenient to carry in my backpack. There’s also a separate bait net bag included, which is an excellent bonus for efficiency when fishing. I appreciated being able to keep my bait organized and easily accessible, making the setup process smoother.Versatility: The versatility of this net is commendable. I used it not just at the pier, but also from the shore and even while on my small boat. It performed admirably in both freshwater and saltwater, which makes it ideal for various fishing environments. The large size (40in x 32in) allowed me to scoop up a good number of crabs and minnows without worrying about losing them. The net's design effectively prevented escapes, and I managed to haul in several catches without incident.User Experience: Using this net was a breeze. The soft steel hoop aligned perfectly with the need for a stable yet pliable capture method. Whether I was scooping up minnows for bait or hauling in crabs, it demonstrated a perfect balance between robustness and ease of handling. Furthermore, not having to deal with complicated rigging or setup really added to my overall fishing experience.Overall Impression: The Foldable Crab and Bait Net is a fantastic investment for anyone who enjoys fishing, crabbing, or simply being outdoors. It is well-constructed, portable, and versatile enough to handle a variety of fishing scenarios. The thoughtful addition of storage solutions like the bait net bag and portable carrying options enhance its practical appeal. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to fellow anglers or anyone looking to improve their fishing or crabbing expeditions. For the cost, it truly delivers on quality, functionality, and convenience.

I got these for free for an Amazon Vine review and I chose it because every year or two my state has what is called a fish salvage. Chances are your state has one too. Basically during a fish salvage, you can use whatever method necessary to get fish. The last time there was a fish salvage there was this really decent size trout that would not take the bait. Using a net is allowed during a fish salvage, all size fish are allowed to be caught, and any method is open and there are no bag limits. Granted this is my state so please check your own. I view something like this as important in that regard, it’s a nice way to stock the freezer with fish. Looking at this, it appears to be highly functional however, it will take a bit of finesse to actually use. It does not appear to have a metal ring which does make it lighter weight. However, the downside of having no metal ring is that it is more difficult to use. It is still functional, however, and I would say the value is there. While I got mine for free, when I looked at the price, it appeared to be a nice entry point if you have never netted before. The design is nothing special, but solid, which is about the best you can ask for and really all that is needed.

Arrived ahead of delivery date. Would recommend securely re-tying ropes to net, they just had a simple knot to hold for retrieval. I used different line than what came with it, not a fan of plastic rope. Well constructed and easy to use. Landed several sheepshead & a few blues. Easy to fold and store in its accompanying bag. 💯 recommend for the price.
