I often have heavy totes and other hardware that needs to be lugged around including taken to events, and this is the most compact solution I have found. It folds down enough to slide under a workbench or bed, and sets up fast and easy when ready for use. Definitely more convenient than the old heavy metal dolly I have used previously.

I really doubt this hand truck can handle 500 lbs. There is too much plastic parts that can flex under heavy load. The base needs a large flat surface to keep items stable. Maybe a fold down plastic plate could be added? It is versatile with light load. The handle bar can be locked in an upright position or released to pull at an angle. Four tiny swivel casters for easy maneuvering. The two casters at the extending part of the base do not swivel. Uneven surface like a small shift on the floor can stop this hand truck. Beefy (plastic) hooks on bungee cords help secure items.

Full disclosure, I did not pay for this item. I have never had any contact with the seller or manufacturer and this is my honest review.I was really pleasantly surprised with this. Since it was free I figured it probably wouldn't be good for much other than being a light cart with wheels to store boxes on since the casters didn't seem heavy duty enough. The stability from the extra wheels and compactness are real winners for me. There are tradeoffs with the size, it's not going to move a refrigerator, but I would not have been upset to pay full price for it.My test was a few hundred pounds of books in boxes I needed to move around or a small window AC unit. The stack was awkwardly high but the weight at least kept it in place and the bungie cords this comes with were actually quite helpful and nice. The extra set of wheels gave it a really nice amount of stability when moving it around and the locks on the back were sufficient to hold it in place even on a sloped driveway. It was also sturdy enough that when I *forgot* to lock the wheels and it took off like a derby car colliding into a tree, it was completely fine aside from some scratches. It held up pulling 120lbs of concrete up some and done some steps and didn't need any babying. Nothing broke or strained. The thing folds up VERY compact and locks securely either in the open or closed through detents. The both the front set of wheels and the handle telescopes out from the base to extend and give a nice length to the cart about the size of a small wheeled base/cart but a little thinner (though the handle is a bit short for taller people) and a sliding brace on the handles keep the handle upright angled slightly outward. It's made of tube steel and appropriately thick for the size. It's probably not going to be great for any large appliances but was amazingly helpful loading some old tools, books and other things I took out of my mothers home to get donated.I can keep in the back of the car or truck whenever I need or the all too frequent requests to use my truck to help people move things. I wish I had this when I was living in an apartment, it would have been incredibly handy.Very happy with it.

This lightweight hand truck will be a great asset at work, helping me move around file boxes and other meeting supplies. The unit folds up pretty small and it's lightweight- under 10 lbs.The base of the hand truck can expand out a few inches, making it roughly the size of a typical bankers box.The handle extends out in several increments and can be used in a straight up (90 deg) setting or a more angled setting, although changing between the two and locking in the 90 deg setting is not as easy as I would like. However, given the price point of this unit, I can live with that. There are alternate claims on this listing of this item being able to handle either 350 or 500 lbs. I didn't know which is correct (probably neither, actually, at least not for any practical use) because I'll never get anywhere near either of those with my use, but I haven't had trouble moving several file boxes with it. I It has 3 sets of wheels which is helpful in the stability and how much weight it can support. This is a great hand truck at a great price.

Great hand truck!! We get a LOT of packages delivered; pet food, our own meat, water, all my subscribe and save Amazon shipments :P This thing is a game changer!! I'm not sure I will be moving something 500lbs, but it did carry me around with hubby pushing it and I'm about 150 :D It is super helpful for those heavy shipments! Here are a couple hints that took me longer than I would like to admit to figuring out:1. Has a great feature of being able to expand the base by pushing the red buttons on the top. To collapse it again - Pay attention to which direction the WHEELS are facing - they will get in the way of being able to shut it correctly.2. The handle can fold down and click into place for storage. Again, pay attention to where the clip to keep the handle at 90° is because it will get in the way of the handle being able to clip in all the way. Those are both easy and convenient functions to have and neither of these are big deals if you know about them :D Four of the wheels are swivel so it is super easy to pull and easy but a little more finesse to push. GREAT product!!
