Plastic tube container broke, same occurred with another order I made, bottom breaks off, and rods fall out. On this order the paper bag also ripped in transport and 2 rods well out. I still gave a 5 star as Amazon reimbursed me $10 off the order due to the lost purchased material which was fair.

The welding rods came in a padded envelope, the entire 1 lb box of rods has cracked missing flux.

This weld is easy to use, and HARD once its on.I have been resurfacing an anvil with them and it really does weld on hard, and, so far has bonded to the softer steel underneath with no problem. I am very impressed with the result.Warning: you NEED high amperage. Read the instructions first. I started at around 90 amps, and it was not working, and eventually landed on 170 amps and it was smooth.Where I left the surface soft (the horn) I can leave a mark with a strike, but when I strike the face of the anvil surface, there is no mark, using a ball-peen hammer.I will probably order more eventually. I could see uses for it in other applications.I do have some warn our shovels now that I think of it.

I am using it in a high impact situation and it wares rapidly. It runs smooth and applies nicely.
