Very disappointing. I know the description stated that this is a costume, and not a real kilt, but the craftsmanship was so shoddy I couldn't even wear this for my family's Burns' Supper; the whole reason I bought the thing. The "kilt" is nothing but a rectangle of plaid-printed material with two small Velcro tabs. I'm not overweight, but the fabric was so short that I couldn't take a step without my full thigh being exposed. I've bought other Rubie's costumes in the past and found them of better quality. But this was a complete waste of money. I can't say they actually misled me, so I'll give them two stars instead of one. Beware.

Lightweight, easy to pack for air travel - fit well, fully adjustable - I have a 31" waist - one size fit perfectly

This was a great addition to my renaissance outfit! It runs a bit big and I had to add an extra piece of Velcro to make it fit. But for the price, it was a great find!

I ordered a size 36" waist & received an up to 34" so barely meets.

I purchased this to run a tough mudder in two weeks. I wanted something cheap and hopefully easy to clean. Thankfully it arrived very quick and was even delivered on a sunday.I dropped one star for two primary reasons.First - while it says one size fits all it came in in a package marked "up to size 34 waist" and is marked as "standard" size with X-Large be the other option up to a 40" waist. I typically wear 34 or 36 jeans depending on a variety of factors. Regardless, I had no issues at all putting these on over my size 36 pants. As a matter of fact, the start and end of the velcro fastener lines up perfectly while worn over my current garment. Obviously I'm not wearing pants to TM so I'll end up with an extra inch of fastener which doesn't matter since I'll be using safety pins as a backup to the velcro. All in all this kilt would probably be suitable for someone up to a 40 waist but much more and you'll be showing some leg ;)Second: It's listed as 100% polyester. The package it came in listed it as 65% poly/35% cotton. Probably not a big issue but I had hoped a fully synthetic garment would be easier to wash the mud out of.UPC is listed as 721773675676

We bought 2 of these kilts for a Shamrock Run (half marathon) and they were perfect! Light weight, not interferring with the run at all. As they are wrap around type kilt, secured with velcro, we used a safety pin to secure them (just in case) and it was perfect. The boys actually found them so comfy they joked about wearing them for every run we do! :) I would say that one size would fit most, they were sized well. I would recommend for sure!

the bottom isn't hemmed, but aside from that looks great. easy to wash and wear, long strip of velcro so it will fit a lot of different people. not what you want if you're going to a real scottish formal event or anything, but fine for a st. paddy's day or halloween costume.

The fabric is rather thin. It closes with a velcro faster and does not have belt loops or other features. It has pleats in front, which is not authentic. But all that is beside the point. You can't buy a real kilt for this price. And most people, who have never seen real kilt in person, wouldn't know the difference anyway. This is a costume kilt novelty intended for people who want to wear it once or rarely. For that it does a perfectly decent job.

Bought this for a Tough Mudder run. Thing is a beast. Lasted through the whole 13 miles and all the obstacles. Made me run faster, jump higher and get muddier. I did not even train for the tough mudder, just bought this, and ran it. Too easy...Chicks dug it too. Pose for all kinds of pictures, just straight flexing the whole time.My buddy fell off one of the rope climbs, finger grabbed this kilt on his way down and I pulled him all the way up with it. Barely noticed he was hanging on..

Needed a kilt for a St. Patrick's day kilt 5k race. This was the cheapest, most normal looking one that we could find. Thought about making one, but couldn't find good fabric at the local store.I'm a size 32" waist, and this kilt is very big on me. There is velcro that holds it together, but since I'm (apparently) skinny, it overlapped too much and only a small part of the velcro actually held. I used a safety pin to secure it, and it was fine during the race. Now it's in the closet until next March.Made in China.
