Perfect! A bit expensive but very well made and perfect for saltwater fishing.

I bought this because I used an earlier version on my friends boat. Mine arrived in April as I was waiting for the fishing season. I used it on my first rip and it worked for the first several fish we landed. The End cap came off, Then the grip used to lock the telescopic pole came off and the push button, that locks the handle in place for use, failed and the net fell off the handle while trying to land d a fish. For the price I paid ($75) I am very disappointed.

Okay, been fishing 40 years, plenty of nets. This net, by far, is the best I have had. Great extension feature, quick to deploy, easy to lock. Twisted nylon nets catch hooks and are awful to undo. The pure silicon rubber ones have no strength and tear easily. This net takes the twisted nylon net and encapsulates it in silicon rubber giving you the best of both without the deficiencies of each. Strength of nylon with no hook catching. Frabil did this one right!

Construction and build quality was top notch....the perfect net...albeit one caveat...thought it would be larger vs my old net...just barely. Fishing for "Kings" this nor current net is large enough...sadly I had to return it and found a comparable replacement 26x30...with telescopic 5'....landing huge fish and worrying if it's gonna fit your net...is never a good thing.

This is a must have for all serious anglers!!!The long reach and large hoop size makes this perfect for all species. We fish on Lake off the woods and we are really impressed with the overall quality. 👍👍👍

Coating on net is great.

This net is light weight, convenient (due to the sliding handle) and best of all is strong and very kind to the fish. My last net would always tangle with the hooks of my lure and that extra time needed to sort that out is not good for the fish, so kudos to Frabill for making such a good product.

I use this with my kayak. It's a very well-made net with two drawbacks for how I use it: (1) the fine mesh netting acts like a sail in strong winds, and (2) the net should be deeper than 16". I should have thought about the sail effect, so that's on me. The depth of the net was not in the Product Description when I bought mine, so that's on Amazon. We tend to carry our nets upright in kayaks, shoving the handle into a rod holder or into a PVC pipe in a milk crate, and in that position, the mesh on this net catches the wind. I've had to lay it down on the bow several times, which isn't a big deal, except it makes one more area for me to snag with a hook. I should have thought about it and considered one of the folding nets, but at this price, I'll live with it.In general, for kayak fishing, you'll be better with a net that's at least as deep as the longest dimension of the hoop because you're going to be lifting fish vertically to "trap" the fish as you lift it out of the water.Other than those two issues specific to kayak fishing, these are very strong and durable nets and the handle length is perfect for my use. I'd recommend it.

I've been fishing for a long time and what brought me to purchase this net is that I had the opportunity to use one which was owned by a friend. I typically do my 'serious' fishing up in Ontario Canada where we catch primarily: Northern Pikes, Lake Trout, Walleye, Bass, and Perch. Previously we used an old net that belongs to my dad which did not have the rubberized and coated netting... Sure you can land a nice fish with it, but the amount of headaches due to untangling hooks from the netting was miserable. This net doesn't get the treble hooks tangled in very much and overall is a HUGE improvement in landing a fish. You don't want to have errors when you have a big fish on the line and near the boat and the extension in the handle is fantastic.I bought this for my dad and for us to use next year when we do our fly-in up in Ontario! It certainly seems like fish are less shocked when landing them in this net. The rubber preserves their coating and the flat bottom lets the fish sit comfortably in the net.
