Replaced a nylon net with this . It was easy to install. Works great does snag on fish hooks near as bad as the old one

As others have said it is heavy, but it should last a long time. I have not used it yet, but it seems to be of quality material. I don't think hooks in the net will be a problem anymore. More time spent fishing rather than getting the hook out of the net. There is a trick to getting the new net on your old frame. took a couple of tries to get it on right.

I have a frabill net from Walmart. Mice ate holes in the netting and fish were slipping through.I paid as much for this netting as I did for the whole net. It’s larger and heavier, its holes are finer, it’s thicker and heavier duty. Very high quality for the price. Looks fine. The weight of the netting calms fish. Makes it harder to scoop through the water though.

I'm going to be a bit more critical on this one. First it wouldn't fit on my net, shape and size was correct. Finally I had to use zip ties to tie it to my frame. I haven't netted a fish yet, but it should be fine.I also expected the material to be of better quality. Seems almost hard and on the brittle side? Also it should have larger hole openings on the side. Not very deep. For $34 - I expected better, or charge me more for higher quality material and a deeper net. So make sure that your net matches the exact types it supposed to fit, otherwise you will be zip tying yours to.

Used this to replace the nylon net that was preinstalled. The nylon net excelled at snagging the hook and then getting stuck, often it took longer to get the hook out of the net then out of fish. When the Kokanee are biting you want to be fishing not fighting with your net!

This specifically worked for this make of net. We ended up having to cut off the old net as we couldn't get it off. The instructions showed nicely how to put this new net on and it fits great. It does look a lot thicker than the old net which was not rubber, so hopefully it will be not too heavy but it will definitely Stop Those Fish Hooks from snagging

Fished all week. Used jigs and rapalas. Caught lots fish no snags on net. Rubber a little heavy. But will strengthen handle.

This net works great. I use it regularly for walleye fishing and it is the best option out there for a quick net. This net really does a good job to prevent tangles from hooks, so it is quick to remove a fish and the lure in the event that you get two lines to go off at once. I bought this as an upgrade for my previous net since Frabill does not seem to make hoops this size anymore with the rubber net. I would highly recommend upgrading your landing net. To slide it on the hoop, I used some vegetable oil and that made installation easy. The only complaint about this net is that it is heavy, so make sure you attach something that floats to your net in case you drop it overboard as this net will sink (I learned the hard way).

It was quite difficult to stretch the net on a 40" hoop. For smaller fish under 10 lbs it works, but you have to scoop the fish, can't bag it.

Seriously! I installed it by myself in less than 2 minutes (the old net was already removed)!!! Hint, spray a little silicone on the hoop before you start, the rubber net will slide on like butter!!! This ain't rocket science folks!!!Ok, rant over, onto product now...This is the same Frabill net I already have on another hoop, and if this last as long as the other one, seeing that it's still going strong after 3+ years of use with only one loop broken (and I seriously think that happened off the water, not while any of us were using it to haul in fish), I won't need to buy another one for several years. It works very well with all hooks, way better than the string-type nets, which are just a pain if you accidentally get a hook set in it while getting your catch off a hook. Especially useful with multi-treble hook lures, the rubber is resistant to the hooks diggin' in and getting caught in the net. This doesn't mean that it will never happen again, but its so much easier to remove it if you do get it caught! For sizing the right net, measure the hoop on your net, width first then length(end of pole to outer-most edge of hoop), those two numbers should not be larger than the size of net you'll need. Mine measured 18x22 and I purchased the 20x23 net, it seems to fit just fine, maybe just a hair loose, but that will not affect the use of the net at all.
