With a patented two-step boot lever and extendable four-wheel FOILKUT system foil cutter, this Franmara 2031 Boomerang customizable two-step waiter's corkscrew with fuchsia handle makes opening wine bottles quick, easy, and efficient! This corkscrew is perfect for restaurants, wineries, and catered events. To use, start by expanding the FOILKUT system foil cutter. Place it over the neck of the bottle and make two good turns to cut the foil. Remove the foil cutter from the bottle, collapse the cutter, and remove the foil from the bottle. You're now ready to open the bottle. Insert the nickel-plated spiral worm into the cork. This open spiral worm features a filet running down it to cut into the cork quicker than with traditional worms. Turn the handle to drive the worm further into the cork, until about a half a turn is showing. Place the stainless steel boot lever on the rim of the bottle and gently begin to extract about 7/8" of the cork. Press the boot lever in and the second boot lever will pull the rest of the cork straight out. This corkscrew's patented two-step boot lever is incredibly efficient at extracting corks, thanks to its spring-loaded floating axis. A crescent-shaped cutout in the handle keeps the floating axis in a vertical position, relieving stress so that the boot lever hugs against the cork during extraction. This system provides added leverage for increased efficiency and more rapid service.

This is the worst two step wine opener I have ever used. The cork screw part of this is awful. It is too thin and does not screw into the cork easily. The first step on the opener does not grasp the bottle at all, no matter where the cork screw sits in the cork. The only redeeming feature is the foil cutter. That works very well. Overall, for all the good reviews this got, I found it very disappointing. I open a bottle of wine every night and always use a two step opener. Recently, my "go to" opener broke and I had to replace it. I would not ever buy this one again.

After my last corkscrew got confiscated at the airport (because of the foil removal blade), I hunted for a TSA-compliant one. This turns out to be the best wine bottle opener I've ever had, period. It has no blade. To remove the foil on a bottle of wine, simply slide open the end of the handle, snug it over the top of the bottle & rotate a couple of times. Concealed discs slice the foil off cleanly & quickly.Simple, inexpensive, elegant & effective. And did I mention it's air travel-safe (at least here in the USA)?

Bought this to have a corkscrew I could have with me when I travel and was tired of the cheap ones that break halfway through opening a bottle. This one doesn't have a blade to cut the foil topper, and thus is TSA-friendly but is still a fully functional, sturdy corkscrew. Highly recommend for travelers!

This is the easiest and best wine opener. It was recommended by a sommelier. We have used an identical one for 10 years before it got lost at a party. It is also a great price and value. Purchasing from Amazon was routine...arrived on time and appreciated their follow up to see if everything was satisfactory.Buy it...you will not be disappointed.

Love these openers! I used to cut my fingers all the time with the foil cutters on standard openers but this makes life much more simple at work. The color on this opener was not the light pink color that I expected though so not sure if the picture does a good job at showing how dark it actually is.

I ordered one of these because they are TSA approved, and I like to have a corkscrew that stays in the suitcase, ready to go, and I have had TSA confiscate another brand. Now, after using the Boomerang corkscrew, I'm ordering another one to keep for home use. Very clever design. The non-knife foil cutter works better than the usual serrated knife style. The assist lever pulls towards you on its pivot when needed, when all the way screwed in to the bottle, so you can use the first notch. That may sound complicated, but it's not, and works very smoothly. Although it is not partcularly large, its generous size makes it comfortable in the hand.

I like the foil cutter but the leverage part is not well placed. You have to back out the corkscrew to get the right angle. Usable but not a good pick. Too cheap not to keep as a spare but I am still looking for a new favorite.
