The plastic base on my chair was always a concern of mine since the day I bought the chair.Well, after about a year of owning the chair, one of the wheel connections snapped, and dropped me out of the chair onto my back.Pretty comical to watch, I'm sure, but annoying when I was in the middle of a project!Thankfully, I found this, and it is an immediate game changer!The base is wider than my original by almost 4 inches, which is huge for me, as I'm 6'4" and 185lbs, and the narrow base made me feel a bit top heavy. With this one, I feel planted. I can roll around anywhere, any speed, and no worries of wobbling.Speaking of speed. The wheels this comes with are smooooooooooooooth!I had single roller blade wheels previously, and I believe that added to the wobbliness, but I couldn't go back to plastic casters after using those. Now I can't go back after using these double rubber wheels.Talk about stability, these things are awesome. Super smooth, effortless gliding across the floor.Highly recommended, if not for its robust design, then for the added stability of just having a wider base.
