The Bluelog Sliding Shower Chair was a life saver when recovering from Achilles tendon surgery. Its extra-wide 360° swivel seat makes transfers in and out of the shower effortless, enhancing both safety and independence. With a weight capacity of 330 lbs, it feels sturdy and secure. The 12 adjustable height settings ranging from 18" to 24", allows for a use on a flat surface or inside a bathtub. The non-slip, padded arms provide additional support, and the non-slip feet ensure the chair stays firmly in place, even on wet surfaces. It amazing that this chair is FSA/HSA eligible, making it a cost-effective solution for those with flexible spending accounts. Overall, the Bluelog Sliding Shower Chair combines functionality, safety, and comfort. It's an excellent investment for anyone seeking enhanced mobility and security in the shower.

This is no small chair and we did need to put this in our main bathroom because there isn't enough space in our master bath but it makes showers so much easier for those with trouble stepping over the tub or standing long enough for a shower. It feels very secure and while we're still working on independent use of the chair, it still is a huge help!

This chair has saved me and my husband so much. I can now let him take his own shower without help. The sliding and swiveling seat has saved him from trying to raise his legs over the bathtub or trying to get to the basement bathroom shower. It has been a lifesaver. His back took out both of his legs and prevented him from walking. After surgery, he now can feel confidence in taking his own shower. This has been a real blessing for us both.

We got this chair to help my mother in law in and out of the tub. It was either this, or remodel our bathroom and take out the tub and replace it with a shower. So although I think it's pretty pricy for this chair (which is why I knocked one star off... because of the price), it cost much less than a bathroom remodel... lol. It was easy to assemble and everything "clicked" in place. The chair glides smoothly and easily across the tub and turns nicely. My mother in law can even do it herself. I've never had any other sliding shower chair (just a regular shower chair that still requires the person to try and step over the tub ledge, which can be dangerous), so I can't compare how other sliding shower chairs work. But this one works great!

This shower chair is superb. There are only 10 parts to install and it took me less than 10 minutes and no tools were required. The installed chair is sturdy and can be operated by the user without assistance if needed. It sits 25 inches high to the top of the seat and 20 inches at its lowest level. It slides like skates on an ice rink, even with me on it, and rotates just as easily. The weight limit per the Amazon site is 330 pounds but that is not mentioned in the manual.Although I can use this in my tub, my bathroom is actually too small for this chair without taking up most of the room. Yes it can be used in my bathroom if needed, but this type of chair is best for those with a little more room. Even though the width is 33" from side-to-side, remember that half of the chair sits in the tub and the other half outside. I ordered this for a friend who needs it.I attached photos of how it would be used. There is a knob that gets pushed to slide the chair from side to side. There is also a handle on the other side that gets pulled to rotate the chair. This can even be used in a large shower "as is" because the sliding and turning ability are very useful. It is important that the chair be locked in place after sliding or turning. This means that the chair will sit on one side or the other and not in the middle once the user slides it into the tub. The same goes with the 360 degree rotation. There are only four possible seat positions - front, back, side right, and side left. The seat should not sit at an angle because it is not locked in place then. I hear a click when it locks. Keep in mind that water may exit the shower when using one of these because the closure of a curtain or door is prevented by the chair itself even if using a shower wand. The finished seat is super sturdy with no wobble althought there is some "side-to-side play" due to its rotational abilityh. There are 12 height positions on this chair. The adjustment holes are in two channels along each leg. I have it at the highest extension in most of my photos but then took a photo of it at the lowest extension. The highest position is 25" tall and the lowest is 20" based on my measurements.FEATURES and THINGS to NOTE:- The height of the legs inside of a tub will have to be adjusted to a lower height than those outside the tub.- The chair swivels in four possible positions (facing back, facing forward, facing to the left side, and facing to the right side). IMPORTANT - When pulling the handle that causes this to rotate, I had to make sure I immediately removed my hand from the handle before rotating. If I did not, my fingers got pinched/caught between the seat and the rail along the base of the chair.- The slider button is a cinch to operate; it glides along the rails almost too easily.- There is a little play in the seat from side to side and that is because of its rotational ability.- There is a strong chance water will exit the shower since a curtain or glass door can only be closed up to the point of where the chair is. Using a shower wand might reduce this.- There is a removable shower wand holder on the side of the chair.- Those who do not have a shower wand in their shower will find this chair of limited use as the person will have to stand up after getting in the shower to shower themselves under their shower head.In summary, assembly is a cinch and no tools are required. The chair is very comfortable but will be easier to use with those who have large bathrooms or large showers. For aides who need to bathe the elderly or infirm, this will make the job a lot easier. It is really necessary to have a shower wand to use. Also, water may exit the shower since the chair will straddle a tub and the curtain or glass doors will not close with this in the way. The current price of $179.99 ($199.99 minus $20) is competitively priced. I tried this , but this one is more user friendly due to its ability to slide along the rails without assistance.

This is the 3rd shower chair we bought. The first two were just seats and they served their purpose well. My husband needs to be non-weight bearing on one foot for a few months. This upgrade allows him to get in & out easier. It also allows him to be more independent. My only wish would be for the seat to swivel and lock in more positions - not the sliding part, that’s great.
