Seems to be better designed than the one replaced. But I recommend planning to replace the fuel hose at the same time. Did not notice until I got the petcock off that the new one has a smaller diameter fuel supply orifice and the existing fuel line was too large. But that was OK as the fuel line needed replacing anyway to prevent future problems.

WoW! It has one moving part, and two jobs - turn the fuel off when turned to the off position, and select between RES and ON. Fails on both.Pros - it fit the fuel tank - oh wait, I had to drill out the holes on the petcock so it would fit - so no it didn't fit.Pro - it controls the fuel - oh wait - the labels are reversed (RES is actually the main tube and ON is the reserve tube) and it does not completely turn the fuel off when moved to the OFF position.Pro - it doesn't leak. So there it is, it doesn't leak. and it was dirt cheap.Cons - poor fitting, poor functioning. Reversed labeling, and kinda hard to turn.

I found an old gas tank for a project but It didn't have a petcock or anything so I measured it and went to Amazon. Found this one and it looked like it would fit based on my measurements. Ordered it, and it fit perfectly. I'm used to having to make stuff work but this just fit nicely.
